Eventually some young athlete comes out and beats a Roger Federer or a Tiger Woods or a Kobe Bryant. All these blogs and articles point to unproven yet talented players as being years away from competing with the elite players in the NBA. I think those days are numbered. Damien Lillard may just outplay Jason Kidd or Steve Nash. Will Barton may outplay Manu Ginobli, (especially since they're fining the flop) Even Meyers Leonard may out hustle and outplay Andrew Bynum or Al Jefferson. At some point in history it's inevitable and I usually welcome these changings of the guard. We're in a special place right now with a blank slate, full of possibilities. The more you believe in a young player or team the less chance they lose their swagger and aggressive competitive edge. Old vets make mistakes too. Also older teams are more likely to lose allstar vets to injury. We have, in my opinion, a vastly underrated team. We may not have a dominant player at some positions but we have serviceable depth at those positions. Center is called our weakness but I think between Aldridge, Hickson, Freeland, Jeffries and Leonard we can wear down a lot of older vets in the post and probably outrun most of them. I'm optimistic and sometimes feel that there's far too much pessimism looking forward. I welcome your thoughts on the subject.

I agree that a changing of the guard is coming soon for some of these guys. Unfortunately with the older stars retiring in the near future that still doesn't take care of the young guns who have already come up. I agree in that Idk if the lakers can keep healthy all year, and idk how San Antonio or Boston do it period, but then you have teams like the thunder or clippers who could be good for a long time, we just need to get our names in with those tough young teams again, nd soon

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

P.S. Would anybody happen to have a...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
