Its a last cry move! If we wanted him and he was high on our list he would have been signed weeks ago but as nobody wanted to come to portland and we couldnt get a deal done its the best option on the board but not a next level moce. Better then Blake, ok, but not by strides. Being that bayless is going to be another telfair with NO jumper to speak of and we booted sergio, by the way a the best move we made, its a good fit for now

I'd have to disagree. This pushes us that much further. Unlike Blake, Andre Miller in the 4th quarter is WORLDS more dependable than Blake handling the ball. With that said it opens up more options for Brandon Roy to come off picks and set plays ran for him and Aldridge, all at the same time worrying about Miller taking it in and either dishing it out to Oden or getting to the rack.

    Great move.

A move done as a reassurance to wait on Bayless to develop...now developing under a very good point guard.
I am a fan of B-Roy and LaMonster!

If this was a "last cry move", then why did we try to trade for Miller last season at the trade deadline? Also, Miller has said many times this offseason he wanted to come to Portland, we just didn't want to pay him what he was looking for at the beginning of free agency. Look at the big picture. Obviously KP and staff wanted Hedo, there's no argument from anyone on that, just look at how aggressively we pursued him. When that fell thru I bet Blazer Brass was a little nervous. But they turned to a backup plan, and nearly got Millsap because of the clever stipulations on the contract. Once again tho, we were the bridesmaid. Which brings us to this move.

Was this our first option in free agency? No. Was this something that Blazer personnel have looked over for sometime and been considering for near a year? Yes. While Miller might not have been our top FREE AGENT target, he has at least in the past year been a target for us.

If you look at the circumstances, this worked out perfect. Miller was asking for 4 years $40 million to start free agency. We figured why give Miller $10 million a year when we can give it to SHedo. Right after we got shafted by Shedo, reports came out that Philly was only offering mid-level exception for 1 year. So when the Millsap deal was matched (and if you think the Blazers actually cared Utah matched, I don't think so. Granted they tried to pry Millsap away, but they knew even if Utah matched it still helps them because they can't keep both Millsap and Boozer) our guys did their job. They jumped on a free agent that was kinda gettin shafted by his current team, gave him a good deal for both sides (I doubt Miller thinks it's great cuz he was lookin for $10 million a year). The contract is very smart. 2 years @ $7 million a year, and a TEAM option for the 3rd year. You can't get any better.

Was this our first option in free agency? No, it wasn't. But was this a "last cry move" just to do a move to say we did a move? No I don't think that either. It was something that basically fell into our laps in the end, and KP and Blazer Brass jumped right on the opportunity. While I don't think Miller is the last piece to a championship puzzle, he could be A piece to that puzzle. A puzzle that is hopefully completed in the next few seasons.
I am a fan of this team. Here's to hoping for a healthy season!!!

Jeremy Lamb? I definitely think he was buried in OKC''s bench, so i don''t know how good he really is. I know he is amazing in 2K though.

Haha, I am a bit I guess, I love Meyers, but I ain''t blind. Henson is way better than Leonard, and will be better than Sanders, and Ibaka, and most PF/C in the league soon.

Thing is, Henson does not intimidate people. He''s probably the ni...

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
