I didn't really support the stotts hire but i'm trying to do my homework and see the positive.  right now on NBA tv they are playing game 6 of the '11 finals between dallas and miami.  i find this interesting to watch because carlisle has repeatedly credited stotts for the offensive schemes that got them over the top.  stotts also recently mentioned his idea to use LMA in the framework of nowitzki in dallas that championship year.  anyway, just trying to pay attention and look for those fine details that supposedly separates this guy from the rest.

If Aldridge can work on his dibble, then we can really envision seeing him being used much like Dallas used Dirk. When got his his man into the triple threat position, it was game over. Playoff off him..buckets. Play him tight..drive to the hoop for a layup or free throw attempts. Somehow play him perfectly and he stops on a dime for the off-balanced shots off of one foot.

i never really thought about it but i noticed that LMA's footwork is quite similar to dirk's.  and really what if LMA got the three ball down.  i'm sure he's got the range. nate just never gave him that kind of opportunity.  don't get me wrong. i like LMA close to the basket but that kind of flexibility could be a weapon

I personally think LA is way better all around than Dirk...especially defensively. Doesn't have Dirks jumper but who does? This is turning out to be a better season than I ever expected given our depth and front office moves. Nice to have a coach with a championship ring and the desire to teach and develop a young roster. Couple that with Kaleb on the bench and we're going to be fine. I was especially glad to hear Terry mention ball movement and not overdribbling...predict 2nd round of the playoffs. Anyone who wants to be a lottery team this year just doesn't understand RIP City! We have until mid January to tweak the roster if it's needed. 3 guys who don't get any ink and are under the radar...Elliot Williams, JJ Hickson and Jared Jeffries. We may have a great bench this season. Go Blazers!

LA is better on the defensive end of the court than Dirk and yes he can guard him but no one can really guard Dirk for a series and shut him down. Wade and Lebron found that out. Now I do not think that LA's jumper will ever be like Dirk's but I do think that LA has the ability to get to the line like Dirk. Something he has not capitalized on and personally I think he might be a little shy of doing. I think this is what Stotts sees and we do too actually and this is why the comparison to Dirk

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
