NO KALEB CANALES!! I will make it quick and short. The Blazers future will Go DOWN DOWN DOWN. If Kaleb Canales becomes the Blazers next head coach. He doesnt have the experience to teach and be a leader that the Blazers need to guide this team into the next generation.

Ive posted about this many times over and over again for months on here and on Facebook and all over the internet Online and this Blazer organization doesnt seem to get it. They arent listening to what the team needs and what the fans care about. Kaleb is not an option for this team. They finally need to get that....Post your comments and maybe the Portland Trail Blazers, Paul Allen and Neil Olshey will listen to what we all have to say.

Yeah I would want a experienced coach for the Blazers. Let Caleb be a assistant then maybe in a few years he can be in the talk for Head Coaching. Terry Stotts would help this team tremendously in my opinion.

Let Kaleb grow with this young team. His work ethic, dedication to the game, intelligence, and energy is exactly what this newly revamped roster needs as they start the climb back up to the top.

I am not against Canales "growing "with the team but fans need to realize the team is in a rebuilding mode if he is the coach and if Stotts is the coach we are still in a rebuilding mode, with a little more upbeat offense. To me this is great if it lands us the #1-3 pick in next years draft.

One thing that's really difficult for a coach to have is the endorsement of all players on the roster, which is what coach K has. During his tenure, I saw the team was showing a much better chemistry among themselves. It's hard to find a coach that's going to get so excited, so emotional and so assimilated with the team. He's going to bring the most out of our new young roster. Regardless of what state we're in, I believe Canales is the man for our team. I would hire him over Shaw, Malone, Stotts or even Jerry Sloan.

He seems like a good guy and all, but I think this young team needs some older seasoned coach. Caleb might be good for getting this team to score, but it takes experience in coaching to teach Defense which this team will struggle with this next season. I would choose Stotts over him.

The game has changed. Players have changed, and so should the concept of what an ideal coach should be. Your coach should have the pulse of a team and Kaleb has that. Coaching isnt rocket science. Experience helps yes,but at the end of the day players who believe in a system and execute instructions win games. Kaleb is a student of the game. He just happens to be a youngster with an opportunity to teach. Give him a shot at success as opposed to dooming him to failure. As far as retooling or rebuilding or whatever we want to call it, its a hell of a lot better than rewinding. Go Blazers !!!!

I was in favor of having a more experienced coach but that was before this team failed to make a splash during free agency.

With so many young players on this roster it makes sense for this team to let Kaleb get experience on a team without lofty expectations.

At first I was against keeping Canales, but like others are pointing out, with the situation we are in with a young team, I say give him a shot.

Well, you were right. I hope they keep him on in some fashion. Like I said in another post I'd like to see something like what Indy has with Vogel and Shaw.

Yeah, he was tripping with that Scottie Pippen reference. Nowhere as good as him, BUUUTTT, I think he can be, if he plays like a man. In Euroleague, you are taught more about finesse, and the fundamentals. He needs to put a little more muscle on, ...
