Those are the names that have me smilin all SUMMMER

Freeland is killing it for GB  we need his help at center even tho he is short lineup solution,,,, at least we have a legit player in Freeland

Lillard... nuff said he will be the FACTOR.... we have not had great point guard to get behind since TP

Leonard and Freeland will battle... Priz and Thomas no more we have two great rookie contracts with VALUE

Batum... he is the real deal I'm surprised and shocked at so many Blazer fans do not realize this.  Props for the Blazers stepping up and playing with the big dogz..... Love me sum Batum at 3

Barton.... he is a Rip Hamelton style player... his battle with EWill will be so funnnnn to watch

Finally to all the doubers and bashers.... our oregonaic roster is fantastic get on or get off

Damian is an outstanding baller. Im still going to need about 10 dimes a game from him though. And running with our thorough breads, he's got action at being at least a 17,8,3 kind of talent to start with. With him i look to see L.A.'s ppg go to about 28,9,4. Although ive always considered L.A. to be a double double kind of beast. Maybe this year he just goes nuts for us. With a knockdown shooter like Lillard, and a damned decent outside shooter in Freeland, teams are going to have to play him a lot more honest. And one on one, there arent many better than L.A. in the post. He still needs to add a few more things consistently to his game. His back to the basket moves could stand some polishing. His left hand id like to see become more fluid. Despite that, he's still a monster.

Woah a little high expectations there lol.

Even MVPs like Derrick Rose started off as a 16 and 6 guy. But Damian LIllard is Damian LIllard.

I can see LAs stats to increase with now having a GOOD PG instead of Felton. Also having knock down shooters surrounding him instead of Crawford, Felton, Wallace guys who didnt shoot very well from the perimeter in there time in Portland. I can see LA avg 23-25 ppg 9 rebounds.

I can see Freeland do better than a lot think. He is experienced playing in GB for so long. He is also plying great in the Olympics. He is a great agressive defender and can shoot from long distance. I can see him like a Mehmet Okur. I see him avg maybe 6-7 points 5-6 rebounds. Excited for this year.

Lillard is promising but the X factor this season will be Elliot Williams...this guy has an incredible talent. As for not having a great point guard since Terry Porter, I beg to differ. Andre Miller is a great point guard.

Wow 7points and 6 boards from a starting center in the NBA? you sure are not asking much. I expect at least 10 and 8 from who ever our starting center is and I don't think that is asking too much assuming he plays only 25 minutes a game, if he plays more he should get 12 and 10..... honestly Przybilla would get 7 and 10 and he is what 52 years old? just kidding I luv Joel and I hope he becomes an assistant here for years to come.

7 and 6 from Freeland would be great. seeing how he will be yeilding a fair amount of playing time to Leonard. Freeland may see significant time at PF in addition to starting center, so if that's the case then yeah 12 and 8 would be more likely and expected.

Freeland is neither starting nor a center. 7 and 6 would be amazing, from either him or Leonard. I would more expect them to average around 12 and 10 together. Those are stats for JJ to average. Probably a few more points and few less boards. As long as our new additions hit the ground running in the NBA and the team gels well, we will have a DEEP team. Our rotation of bigs would consist of LA, JJ, Leonard, Freeland and either Jefferies or Pryz. Batum and Claver can also streatch the 4. Our wing rotation would have Batum, Claver, Matthews and Barton. Our guard rotation is very versatile with Lillard, Smith, Matthews, Williams and Barton. And please no one mention Babbit. You should not include when convincing team depth, unless its a lack thereof.

Our roster will improve but if you consider being a .500 team fantastic then okay but I expect more it just won't happen this season.

I'm glad the conversation broadened a little bit cuz I was gonna say, D Licious, how do you not have Elliot and LaMarcus on your list for exciting players to watch?

I'm not confident in a conference run yet, but I am STOKED to watch this year's Blazers cuz it's going to be some active and exciting basketball.

Yeah people are backing up my 7 and 6 expectations! lol
Glad someone talked about Ewill I was going to , but I chose Freeland lol.
Elliot is a great pick and role player, can finish and has been working on his jump shot a lot. He can be a great role player for us. Maybe a 5-8 point guy would help the starters a lot. Excited for next season

Portland Trail Blazers forward Joel Freeland didn't log many minutes in Great Britain's 90-58 win over China on Monday, but he still found a way to make his presence felt. In just 10 minutes of play, Freeland scored 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting and pulled down 6 rebounds. His playing time was limited due to foul trouble; he quickly racked up 4 fouls trying to guard Jianlian Yi.

yeah beside those names , i realy can't wait Elliot Williams to step up and shock all basketball fans..

but is it true that Pryz is headed to Bucks? i love him and to think he's gonna move to Bucks is making me sad,he will be a great mentor for Meyers Leonard..

Guess that John Henson mentor will be Pryz. I think we will do better then expected because we got a deep team with talent. And we will probably be in the playoff this year.

Elliot is another X-Facor that should be added.  LMA and Mathews are pretty much what you expect.. both professional and established.. I am just so stoked about the direction and young talent we picked up rather than getting retreds like Dallas.

Freeland averages are not the important part, its ability to defend the post and defensive rebounds.... He handled Spain centers very well and never looked overloaded or out of place.  Diamond in the rough IMO  but by no means a center just playing one on TV haha

Better than Kurt Thomas or Priz and I think having Leonard come off the bench will take a lot of pressure of him while he learns the NBA game.. Freeland is a savy pro already and will not get burned as much on D

Lillard and LMA is my number one reason to smile.... however the young bloods have me smilin too

Batum and Durant the ONLY PLAYERS in the NBA to average at least (1 assist, 1 block, and 1 three pointer) per game.... Pretty special company to be in at 23 years old

I think the Blazers surprise.... we have the makings of a TEAM... and  a point guard who wants to WIN
