http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/david_aldridge/07/21/miller/index.html I feel like if these reports are true, management is becoming overly desperate with who they pursue. I know that he would most likely improve the team, but the guy is 33. This team no doubt needs a vet, but I feel like adding miller is putting a square peg in a round hole. Not to mention our current team managed a modest 54 wins last season. I would not be heartbroken if nothing else happened this summer, the fact of the matter is, we are definately good enough to compete in the western conference regardless. I just want Roy to get his contract, then bring on the regular season.

I think Miller could help this team by adding a distributor to a team full of scorers. It would be nice to have Blake coming of the bench, adding more scoring to the second team and giving Bayless some time to develop. But what was that talk in the article about giving Miller a 5 or 6 year deal. I say offer him 2 years at the mid-level exception or just over. If that's not enough, let him walk. Anything more than that would be a bad move in the long term.

Miller is the best fit out of all the players we have made offers to.  He would make more of an impact in a positive way than Hedo or Paul.  But I also do believe that we should hold off signing anyone.  I think KP should wait and see what the team is like through the first couple months of the season, and then if we are missing something try and make a trade for it.

ya andre miller could be good addition to our team. But has anyone checked out ramon sessions and what he could bring to our team? Miller is a veteran, Sessions isn't. But Sessions isn't 33 years old like Miller, so the 36 yr rule wouldn't be a problem. With a team filled with young talent, why not bring in some more, why not bring in another youngster who can ball and can be a blazer for a long long time?

Ever since the start of Free Agency Ramon Sessions is the guy I hoped we would get.  He would fit in with the team because he is so young, and he is an insanely good play maker.  I think right now you can get the same out of Ramon as you could out of Andre.  But Ramon is just getting started.  He could avg 8 asst a game for us.   But since we have not made a move for him, I lost hope.  But he is a great young pg and I think would be the best fitting FA out there right now.

I'm fairly sure Ramon sessions was never a FA. I don't think Milwaukee would just let him go. where were you reading that he was?

He's a restricted free agent. Why not give him an offer sheet and worst case scenerio the bucks match and spend more money than they wanted to just like we did with Utah. Best case he's our new pg

There is actually a NBA.com headline now about how Sessions is among the best available remaining free agents.

my apologies, I saw that as well.  I guess I hadn't thought about them bringing in brandon jennings.

I guess I hadn't heard much about him, so I assumed he was staying with milwaukee

Despite the fact that the Blazers have lost out twice already on signing a free agent, I have to agree with taking a chance on getting Sessions. That guys is the PERFECT type of player for this team. He is already quite good at every facet of the game including DEFENSE, which cannot be underestimated. He has a great attitude as well. He is worth a try and if the Bucks match, then go for Andre Miller as a last resort. If Miller is gone, so be it. Blake is a fine starting guard and Bayless will only get better. The Blazers also are looking at Pooh Jeter who looked great in summer league at the point as well as second round pick Patty Mills. The rich get richer regardless of what happens.

I would LOVE to see Oden on this team!!!

    BUT

Remember when Jammal Crawford said that Brandon Roy was full healthy again??

    also, imagine

    Damian, Roy, Batum, Lamarcus, Oden

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
