If you had your choice of any center in the league to trade for, who would you choose, and who would you trade from our team to get that center?
    My choices are.......

    1. M. Gortat @ 2years/7.258 million from Phoenix
we give Matthews, Babbitt, Gadzuric, and Pavlovic.
    2. T. Mozgov @ 1year/3.1 million   or    K. Koufos @ 3 years/3 million Denver
we give Babbitt, Gadzuric, and Pavlovic.
    3. A. Bargnani @ 3years/10 million Toronto
we give Matthews, Babbitt, Gadzuric, Pavlovic, and a 2014 second rounder.

Option 1 or 2 are very possible Phoenix could use the extra bodies and Denver's players are both backups, option 3 would be hard to pry free of Toronto thus the second rounder added.
Do you agree with any of these trades or do you have a suggestion of your own?

If you would like to check your trade for legality go to this web site at ESPN trade machine and it will tell you who can be traded from each team and if the trade can be done according to NBA league rules. if nothing else it is very fun............      http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

I think Matthews is one of the pillars for our team. I don't want trade him for Bargnani or Gortat. I tried a few trades too.

    1. Blair for Pavlovic and draft picks. Spurs don't want Blair, but they are hungry for draft picks.
    2. Splitter for Babbit, Gadzuric, Pavlovic.
    3. Dalembert for Gadzuric, Pavlovic, Babbit and Williams. (for Portland this isn't best, -1 wins for us)

Agreed with Dexter, why are people so eager to lump Mathews in with Babbitt and our other throw-away players? Babbitt is on the verge of being NBA-useful, Gadz and Pav are ghosts, but Wesley Mathews was a boon to our team before last year, and even last year he was nowhere near the dimmest spot on our roster. He works harder than anyone, he's his own worst critic (in a good way), he's great for our young guards, lots of things that don't show up on a stat sheet, and he's not entered his prime. Keep Mathews all day.

I would still land Hibbert but we don't have similar assets to let go. Wait and see Meyers Leonard before we get stuck with any useless center with 2-3 yrs contract

Dexter, I think you might be on to something with the Splitter trade.

The main reason Matthews is included on all trade talk is that his contract is 6 million and under league rules he is one of the few players on our team that can be traded.

As long as we have Victor Claver on our team we can do anything. (That was a bad joke)

Thank you, Knorton. Now more rebuilding or anything. No rookie nonsense. Get a solid Defensive big. Trade every single pick to get it.

I don''t trust big men with a history of injury. Ibaka also weighs more than Noel, but you''re right, early days yet, he could bulk up. I am sure, that he will lose some of his speed and athleticism when he does though. Wasn''t that one of his bes...
