Aldridge is our man but Love is anything but soft. When you say the word "BEAST" I think of players like Love, Griffin and Hickson. The name Lamarcus Aldridge is more related to the word "Finesse", He is not as much of an inside presence as the 3 latter names, that is not saying finesse is a bad thing. The lack of OVERPOWERING inside play is the reason L.A. is not the starter at POWER forward in the west. L.A. and Dirk are a lot alike but L.A. has a great deal more potential, as soon as he has help at center I believe we will see more of the BEAST come out in L.A., it is too tiring to carry your team on both ends of the court. He needs a center beside him who can play defense like Marcus Camby but is also a threat on offense so L.A. is not doubled every time he gets the ball. (it's hard to be an offensive beast 2 on 1 all game and play defense)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib0iRi42gSg&feature=related beast mode. aldridge turns more beast every years, love is loosing weight and going soft in the olympics. our man will be taking that spot in the olympics for sure. and with his finesse he's twice the player griffin could ever hope to be.

Great video, plus this was what he did with Rudy and Andre mostly (but some sick feeds from Batum as well!!!), and there's no denying he's gotten better since having to work through constant double teams (as well as much less proficient assists from his teammates so he's worked alot more with creating). I can't wait to see what he can do with Lillard and Barton able to feed him near the rim, and eventually what Leonard can do to take the pressure off Aldridge inside. Put that with a growing Nico, Wes, JJ, Elliot... exciting.

It's not that Kevin Love isn't one of the elite forwards in the league, but I've been saying for 2 years that he's getting a bit too much credit for, first, having a coach that was stat-padding the hell out of him in the interest of promoting the team, and second, being a power forward who relies on 3's as part of his game instead of just an extra tool... which, coincidentally, is similar to the criticism I had for LaMarcus last year, when we needed him to be a consistent threat and, no matter how much finesse he has, everyone goes cold on outside jumpshots now and then. For Love and Aldridge, as power forwards, an outside shot should be the cake icing on their offense, not the filling. It's a good skill to keep your defender honest, but not a good skill for you to fill your stat sheet.

LaMarcus: We don't want you to be Dirk with some Duncan, we want you to be Duncan with some Dirk!
Kevin: ...you just keep letting that negative attitude spread, it's doing wonders for your game and your team.

The-Greatly-Overhyped-Griffinstein is overrated. Being a dominant athlete (congratulations on scoring BiG in the genetic lottery) without a team built around that physical advantage will only get him so far. He's not a great basketballer and when it comes down to people getting used to what he brings, he won't have anywhere to go except fall back to earth. I don't believe that simply having the physical skillset of an olympic athlete should get you on the Olympic basketball team. These are supposed to be our best.
I am a fan of BLAZER BASKETBALL. Not drafts, not business, not trades, not David Stern. Just BLAZER BASKETBALL.

Not DPOY. All American. Player of the year in his conference twice. Past four years, McCollum, Muscala, McCollum, Muscala.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
