The Trail Blazers not getting Hibbert and Batum wanting to playing in Minnesota couldn't work out better for us, why? Shabazz Muhammad, if the Blazers deal Batum to Minnesota for (2) future draft picks and D.Williams, that gives us trade pieces we could use to get a high draft pick like Shabazz Muhammad. We also added cheap (salary) pieces like V.Claver, J.Freeland, and W.Barton we could use as well. If we don't make the playoff and our 2013 pick is 12th or lower, the pick stays with Portland leaving us with another piece of the puzzle to get Shabazz Muhammad. What does everyone think of Shabazz Muhammad, is he an upgrade from Nicolas Batum?

He is more of a SG in the NBA and he is likely to be the #1 overall pick next year he will not be traded  for anything less that a boat full.

Next years draft is definitelyt top heavy. I'd love for us to get our hands on Muhammad, Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller or James McAdoo.

Lots of talent spread throughout the draft next year although not nearly as deep as this one

We're not SERIOUSLY looking ahead to next year's draft already, are we? We completely killed this year's draft, and as bad as our season was it would've had to be alot worse for us to get a higher pick and make you guys happier (remember that our pick was #11, the #6 that got us Lillard was New Jerseys, thank the Wallace trade for that)

He should go in the top three. The teams with the top 3 picks will not be willing to trade those picks as all 3 will be game changers and team corner stones.

Like Mbmurr said, all the more reason to enjoy our team and stop trying to act like it's a video game. We're not gonna be one of the worst 3 teams next year, and any fan shouldn't hope we would.

Technically we would only have to be on of the 14 worst to have a shot at him. Or trade for him which would be smart.

Lol good point Cmeese. I still don't think we'll be one of the 14 worst... we were barely there this year, in a short season where we jettisoned our coach and defensive vets. If we want to have any sort of season where people aren't pulling their hair out, we better not be in that range after all these moves.

There is a long way to go until the start of the season and anything could develop with Fa's and trades still, but all we can comment on is the current state of the team.

There is no way this team is a playoff team next year. While I wouldn't bet on them being in the bottom 3, I would definitely bet on bottom 5-10. And I still don't think Minnesota is a playoff team next year. If Portland would make that sign and trade deal for Batum we would be looking at 2 more lottery picks next year. What better way to build a team, 4 lottery picks in 2 years.

I know, the 2 I'm talking about next year could both not be there, but let's be realistic, they probably will. If they aren't then that means something really good is happening with our team, I'll take it.

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
