honestly i don't see how that really improves our overall team much at all...

Brewer is definitely not equal to Wesley. Mathews has too many intangibles, and Brewer isn't consistent enough imho.

I'd be fine with Iggy replacing Batum, but he's just as expensive if not more, 4 years older (as in 4 years less of potential growth he could make), has had some injuries, and I think his contract has only 1 year on it so after one season we'd be in a tough spot to keep him.

I really don't know why you would want to resign Craig Smith over resigning JJ Hickson, that just seems like common sense if you're going to find a backup for LaMarcus...

Denver is going to work on keeping McGee as much as Indiana did for Hibbert, because Denver gave up Nene to make room for McGee and they didn't do that to only have him for one season and then have a big whole at center.

And finally, Claver, Freeland, and Hollins are just rolling the dice. You'd be hoping to get lucky with all 3 of them, but even if they all fill their potential, that's STILL not very good.

Olshey said we're not makin moves unless it's one that gives us real improvement. Sorry, but in my opinion this definitely does not.

I have looked at tapes and I do not see anything of value in Claver, Freeland, or Hollins.  Please tell me there are other possibilities out there.  keep the core + :  LA, Mathews, Lilliard, McGee/ Leanard, Batum (?), JJHixon with subs: E. Williams, Barton, Pryzbilla, Smith and maybe some role players not known yet.

This would give us:  pf = LA, JJ, pg = Lilliard, Smith, c = McGee, Leonard, Pryz, sg = Mathews, Williams, sf = Batum, Barton.  If we do not get McGee then put in Kaman and if not Kaman then ?

This is my best guess as to what our team would look like in 2012.

Hoopsworld is a great site to find player salaries.

Noel will be fine he will need to thicken up which he should do. I fully expect to be built like Ibaka down the road, he won''t be thick enough to handle the low post against centers but he will still be a force on defense.

  4. draft

Started by Aaron Childers on 05/16/13 at 8:17 PM

Choice 1 = draft at #10 and draft Muhammad

Choice 2 = trade #10 and our first second round pick for the #7 pick and draft Oladipo.

choose one of the two.  My choice would be choice 2.

The list of possibles assumes Oladipo does not fall below the top nine.  I agree that if he did the list would change and most responses would indicate him as the choice.

We really do not need so many rehashes.

  8. Is Paul Allen more Concerned about Profits then Winning a Championship?

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
