I'm with Canzano(maybe for the first time) on this issue. Why can't we have that kind of a team in Portland. I think one of the reasons you don't see a lot of cutting and movement is that we haven't had the personnel for it. Not the wings but the pg's and the bigs. We haven't had a pg who can make entry passes, save for dre but we all know he wasn't allowed to actually play his game, and LA isn't very good at passing out of the post. When a wing throws it in to him and then cuts under the rim LA always hold onto the ball. Other than Roy I can't really remember anyone playing the give and go with LA. My complaint about our offense has always been its monotony. Now it's LA's turn to score, now we're going to go through Jamaal. It reminds me too much of Jerry Sloan or Larry Brown system. Players today don't want to play in those offenses. This is why we need a defensive minded coach with a good offense. Like SVG, Flip Saunders or Brian Shaw. My only knock on Batum, other than letting his agent run his mouth, is that he should have been saying this stuff all year not just in free agency.
I am a fan of close games.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.

Nah, Washington would just sign him themselves, save them a pick. Also, no way JJ is worth a lottery pick. Oladipo would be great, for pretty much any team in the NBA. I don''t think it''s possible to get him though. Should focus on getting a defe...

Jermaine O''Neal, Drazen, Z-Bo, Sheed (I know he was already a star but still). Also Drazen was buried under Drexler and Porter.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.

Special K, aren''t you a cereal? And yes, Batum is expensive, but I think he''s worth it. Why would you take someone who isn''t is as good, just for less money. Then why don''t we take the worst possible player and pay him the least possible amoun...
