I hope he went to Steve Nash's school of ballhandling. Or at least had the decency to buy the five set of DVD's.

I hope he can stay healthy. I'm not sure that everyone realizes how hobbled he has been. He played most of his first season here on a severely sprained ankle. Most players just would have sat out. Matthews might be overpaid but I still love what he brings to the table. Matthews has the same problem as Batum. He is great at cutting and moving without the ball, but for some reason he is told to sit in the corner.

Our offensive game plans have been terrible for years.

Is there a center out there that can pass out to cutting and driving toward the basket Players?  How is McGee?  Hibbert?  Other?

I think Hibbert is better than McGee in that regard. I also like Meyers' chances at becoming a pretty good passer. He looks for cutters. Of course now with Indi matching our offer, i think we should go after McGee. But we'll probably end up with Chris Kaman. I think thats how his name is spelled.

McGee's a good shot blocker, he'd complement L.A. and I want him if we can't get Hibbert, but don't close the door on Hibbert yet.  Have you heard officially they're matching?  I thought someone said they just made an offer, which leaves open a sign and trade possibility... and I'd heard Hibbert's supposed to be signing portland's offer sheet, so maybe he don't wanna be in indy.

We still have Kurt Thomas on the roster and if Portland can't get Hibbert or another FA, they may just go with Przy, thomas, and leonard... ?   lotta minutes for the rookie.

I really like Matthews, but yeah, I don't see him move much without the ball.

If anyone on this team has the most room to grown and improve, it has to be matthews, I mean, the team has been gutted, and if Batum leaves, well, him and L.A. know the offense better than anyone. So he's going to be an integral piece of the puzzle... I'd have to say Matthews biggest problem is the inconsistency... those 4 for 18 shooting nights have to go away, and he can help that by driving the lane more.  He's great at the free throw line... he should force the action more often.  And I personally think he's shooting too many 3 pointers.  I'd like to see him move his game in more... get to the pain more, attack, draw fouls, get to the line a LOT more than he does already... shoot more pull-up Js, etc.

I want Matthews to have a line like this:

40 mpg, 20 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 assists, 2 steals, 50% from the floor, cut his 3 point attempts down by about 75% and see that percentage rise to 45% by shooting smarter set shots...

Basically, I want a reggie miller type SG... if I were coach, I'd work matthews ass off.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
