Batum's proposed deal?

    What is the truth?  Does he have an offer from Min and if so is it legit.  Is Batum or Roy last added or does it matter?  If Roy has agreed in principle then what is the status of Batum's verbal?  I cannot make heads or tales out of what can be done and what cannot and who polices the whole thing?

    SO, the deal is that Minny doesn't technically have the cap space to offer that big a contract. They would need to waive rights to their free agents just to get their cap hold down enough to sign Batum to an offer sheet. They don't want to do that just to have Portland match. That's why you see all this posturing, "13mil a year" talk from Minny and "He's not going anywhere" from us. They aren't going to offer him a max deal and we definitely wouldn't match one. My guess is that if they offer him a contract it would start at 11 in year one and end at about 12.5.

    maybe they are looking to sign and trade us B Roy for Batum....... What a deal.. Just kidding. Can't wait to see what happens on the 14th.   ROLL ON BLAZERS.     UPRISE TO FANS.

    Cannot sign and trade a free agent unless he was on your team recently this would not work for Roy

    It's all smoke and mirrors. No trade. Keep Batum. Minnesota can sit on it and spin. So can Ndaiye.
