Now that the Blazers have drafted Lillard, Leonard, and Barton Gm Olshey has his work cut out for him to put together a complete roster with free agency and trades. The blazers could spend all their money in one place trying to steal a restricted big man like Hibert or Lopez from their respective teams, or go after an all star caliber pg, but I think both theses ideas are a waste of time. I say spread the money and get several players who will cost less, but be affective. Here is my plan:

We have the following 7 players under contract

    Aldridge

    Matthews

    Babbit

    Thomas

    Smith

    E. Williams

    Shawne Williams (Unfortunately)

The first thing I do is waive Shawne Williams

    Sign all three rookies

    That leaves six open spots

    Resign Batum and Hickson

    Leaving 4 spots

    Sign:

    Goran Dragic

    Earl Clark

    Spencer Hawes

    Sheldon Williams

    Making this roster

Pg. Goran Dragic, Damian Lillard, Nolan Smith

Sg. Wesley Matthews, Eliot Williams, Will Barton

Sf. Nicola Batum, Earl Clark, Luke Babbit

Pf LaMarcus Aldridge, jj. Hickson, Sheldon Williams

C: Spencer Hawes, Meyers Leonard, Kurt Thomas

I know Earl Clark is relly a PF, but I could seeing him playing the 3. Another option is to sign cj Miles instead of Clark or Barton.

This is probably more wet dream than realistic, but I think this roster would be one heck of a good team.

What do you guys think? What ideas do you have?

Olshey has said Lillard is our franchise point, so now signing dragic would be a waste because dragic is a starting young point in the league. Lillard is the guy, so signing someone like Jason Kidd would be good to coach him for a season before handing him the ropes. Also, Olshey said they are not looking for little upgrades at spots. He wants big name guys. It doesn't sound like Hickson will be resigned, but almost certain Batum is back. Hickson gets too expensive when that money could be placed elsewhere if Freeland is coming over. Now, I think the money goes to Hibbert or Brook Lopez...

    Lineup

    PG- Lillard, Kidd, Smith

    SG- Matthews, Williams, Barton

    SF- Batum, Claver, Babbbit

    PF- Aldrige, Freeland

    C- Hibbert/Lopez, Leonard

Thats a damned decent line-up abarrer3. Although, it may not be too farfetched to slide Nico over to the sg spot at times.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

All of that would be true BDawg except one thing Lillard and his anti bullying campaign, without that he did nothing wrong or at least very little. By not stepping in and stopping the altercation, he is undermining his whole campaign. That is wron...

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
