It's kinda silly listening to Reese when he discusses players.  He gives the low-down on the tragedies in their lives or other personal garbage.  Hate listening to him talk.

Many people here have spoke about Meyers.  He played ball at Illinois and he probably could have afforded to stay in school another year or two, but their coach Bruce Weber was fired.  So why not go pro.

Meyers is 7 or 7-1 and he left after his sophomore year, so he's probably 20 years old.  Tall white guy who has very minimal body fat.  As a freshman, he was really not good and didn't show much promise, and early in his sophomore year, Meyers did not even believe in himself, but he really came into his own, his confidence grew, and by the end of the year, he had emerged as Illinois' go-to guy.

If you want stats, he probably scores 12 a game, i don't think he's quite a double digit rebounder, but he can block, he'll get a couple per game.

His best attributes are his work ethic, in great shape, very low body fat, confidence has grown big time, and he's athletic, which is to say, he's not a big greg ostertag type of center... he can jump and he will throw down some pretty flashy dunks at time, so he's a fine pick, with minimal downside.

If there are any flaws with him is that he is young, still learning, he's not superman, and size wise, well, I wanna say he might get pushed around some, but he's hit the gym so hard, he is actually pretty strong.  I saw him in an interview once and he said that he learns from watching other players and one things he's trying to get better with is his footwork.  He already has better footwork than Drummond, but he can use some improving in the paint.

He's not as good a blocker as Drummond, Anthony Davis, or Henson, but he's got presence on the defensive end.

Beyond that, well, I guess we'll see how his college game transcends in the NBA.  Overall, I like him, but I'm just not sure how good he'll ever be.  He could be a real surprise because of how hard he works.  He hasn't ever been hurt that I know of.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...
