According to sources, Waiters is high on the Warriors’ draft board. The 6-foot-4, 221-pound guard has impressed several teams and appears to be one of the hot names. He impresses the Warriors because of his ability to score, create offense and also play point guard. He’s got good size for a point guard. Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said Waiters’ game reminds him of Dwayne Wade. Contra Costa Times

Do u think the blazers will have the chance to draft him at #11, would u want him in a blazers uniform?

If that rumor is true, then we can't pick him at 11. Golden State is picking #7. We would have to take him at 6 which is way too high. I personally think 7 is way too high for Waiters, but that's where I have him going in my mock.

I've heard Waiters possibly going as high as Toronto at 8, but also been hearing Waiters' stock is on the rise, worthy of top 10, and Toronto is willing to trade down... maybe because they don't want Waiters.

I have no objections to Portland taking Waiters 6th and then grabbing a Center or Lillard at 11 if he slides.

Nobody knows for sure what's going to happen.  We all have seen mockdrafts and have an idea of player value, but there's a lot of logrolling going on in the NBA.  If Warriors are talking about Waiters at 7, it might be a ploy to get Portland to take him because they might prefer Lillard or Drummond.

On that note, Drummond could go as high as #2 in this draft, or he could slide down to 7-10, nobody knows for sure.  Lillard has been discussed as high as 6 because of Portland's need for a PG, but others are saying if Portland don't take him, he'll go to GS at 7... yet others have said he could slide back to Portland at 11.

So what do you believe?   You probably believe Lillard's too good for 11, but a lot of people question his ability as a point guard and others yet are talking about the level of competition he's faced.  Many guys over the year's have slid down in drafts for less reasons and the concerns with Lillard are legitimate.

And for the record, Waiters is not a point guard.  He was a 6th man who can create, handle the ball, and dish out some assists, but he's not a point guard.

neither Drummond, Lilliard, and Waiters will probably be available at #11 so which one do we want if they are all available at #6.  Drafting one of them will mean we will not be able to draft the others.  I am still leaning toward Lilliard.  I am going to be amazed if Portland does not do something to change things before the draft.

I believe Waiters will be there at 11. If we go Lillard at 6 and don't do anything else, I wouldn't have a problem taking Dion at 11. I'd prefer Austin Rivers and maybe even Terrence Ross, but the three-four shooting guards after Bradley Beal are all pretty good prospects. I do like his ability to attack the basket.

i'm getting more and more excited about waiters. i think if he is left at 11 we would have to take him. if lillard is as good as i think he could be and we get waiters at 11, that is two potential big time players to go along with LMA and batum. that's the type of fire power we need to compete. we would also have matthews to be the leader out there, whether he starts or not, demanding hard solid defense night in and out.  i think there's a lot of that matthews attitude in both waiters and lillard and i think it would be contagious and light a much needed fire under batum too.  sign JJ because he fits in to this culture and plays with passion and energy every night. he earned it the old fashioned way last year playing his ass off for us.

It's too bad Beal won't slip to 6.

I agree about Rivers. I know everyone says he's a risky pick, but I think he's exactly what the Blazers need if we're going to lose Jamal. 11 may be a little high for him, but not too high. Maybe we can work out a deal to swap 11 for where he goes and maybe get Rivers and another player out of it.

A bit of both sure. But mainly luck. And I don''t think we should go their way. They still ended up with the worst record.

We would win with D12, but we would destroy the Blazers in the process. His whole attitude is wrong. Attention whore, spoiled little brat with delusions of being an ''alpha male''.

That''s why I don''t like him, Melo, and Kobe.
