    Batum is a restricted fa and portland has to sign him before that trade can happen and that won't happen before the draft.  I do like lowry's explosiveness, tough kid from Villanova. He had a triple double last year i do believe, so he's shown he can not only pass and score, but rebound.  He's short, but strong.  Last I heard he was hurt and not happy with his situation in Houston. I don't know his current contract, but him and flynn would be an interesting rotation at PG.  Raw, but capable.

    I remember Chase from Zona.  Big Red.  lol.  I haven't followed him in the NBA and really don't know how he's doing, but I can't imagine Lowry and Chase are worth Matthews and Batum.  And you want to drop down in the draft too?   

    Maybe i'm biased here, but I think Matthews is more valuable than Lowry and Batum's more valuable than Chase, so I'm not sure why we'd drop down in the draft too.

    Agreed with Boomtown I like Lowry but if we're giving all that we need to get a little more... or give a little less. Not sold on Budinger being anywhere near the role player that Mathews or Batum can be on even a bad day.

    Can't do anything with Batum accept match an offer or let him walk in free agency. While I like Lowry I wouldn't make a play for him with Lillard in the draft and Dragic as an UFA.

    right, I just think with lowry, the thought is houston will probably work to resign dragic and that makes lowry expendable.  without batum, that's a huge void and portland's probably going to have to address that in the draf because I don't see much in free agency.  what have sam young, matt barnes, deonte green, or bill walker done?  I remember them all in college and they all had promise, but I haven't followed any of them.  They're all free agents though who look like they can be had for pretty cheap... are they worthy of starting at all?

    Portland really needs Harrison Barnes more than Drummond at 6 and if not, then I think they have to make a play for Harkless, but I wouldn't trade down 11 to do it... I'd try to move up with both 2nd round picks, or trade Nolan Smith and cash for a pick between 15-20, i imagine that's where he'll go.

    Well, you know, maybe trade 11 down for both boston's picks and get fab melo and harkless if they're both there at 20 and 21..... HMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    damn, portland just has too damned many holes to fill.

    This is not what I consider to be a good trade.  In fact it seems like a poor trade.  It baffles me how poor trades like this get the time of day.

    The Blazers could trade their 41st and Crawford to the Celtics for the 21st pick which is about where Harkless and Melo are projected to be drafted.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
