This years offseason for the blazers fan is going to be tough. But i suggest a few things the blazers need to do. to me the reason why we did'nt make the playoffs is because we could not fill the void of a game winning star Brandon Roy.
    1) If the blazers want to make the playoffs next season they would have to pick two draft potentials. I recommend Andre Drummond at 6 and Austin Rivers at 11
    2) The blazers have some serious cap space this offseason. So first they will need to resign Nichollas Batum and J.J Hickson
    3) Blazers still need a point guard and at whatever cost they should go for D.J Augustin or Goran Dragic or Steve Nash I did not say J LIN because the Knick have a high percentage of resigning him. However charlotte and houston cannot compete with our cap space so we have a higher chance to sign the 2 and other teams may have money but we have our money plus great fan support to sign Steve Nash
    4) If our attempts to sign a pointguard fails we should try to trade wes matthews for a potential point guard like Damian Lillard or Dragic or Augustin
If we can do this then im prettysure we have a chance at the playoffs and maybe the finals
I am a fan of the Portland Trailblazers winning a championship

Your ideas are good but I think trying to make a playoff contender in one off-season is not feasible. Honestly I think letting Batum go, because of the price/value is not worth the effort he shows on a nightly basis. I think signing Hickson, a solid pg and Illasova long term in free agency is key. I think we should trade Matthews for a top 10 pick now or to a bottom feeder team (Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, Charlotte) for their first rounder in 2013, this would likely turn into a top 3 pick.

would take much more than drummond to turn this team around. he's a project and that's best case scenario. 6th pick is too high to pick up a player only based on potential. with a decent coaching staff i see maybe an 8th seed, but that's a big if. any chance of a post season next year will depend on who the front office puts around LA. first thing would be to draft a pg if its lillard. dude has the ability to score from anywhere on the court and is one of the most nba ready players in the draft. it definitely wouldn't be a reach with the 6th. you know exactly what you're getting and i can almost guarantee he wont be available at 11. im hearing meyers leonard is pretty decent and has more of an upside than zeller.
resign jj and batum and go after another pg in free agency either nash or dragic. some people say nash is a short term answer but i disagree. playing with nash would make every player able to play up to their potential and even when nash is gone the team will know what they're capable of.

jeremy lin is also an option since he is a restricted free agent and ny has little if any cap space to match with

That gives him incentive to play hard, low risk / high reward for the Blazers. I...

well mccollum looks cool but lillard was a rarity when it comes to small school ballers being successful I don''t see 2 small school ballers 2 drafts in a row especially one comeing from a weak draft being anything spectacular
