Here's my Mock Draft, but it's not as current as I'd like. I will probably update it tomorrow as the new information about prospects has came out after the draft combine.

Certainly need to update Dustin no chance in hell will Lillard fall now to 11. He will go #6 to Portland #8 to Toronto or #10 to New Orleans. I do not see Robinson lasting past Washington they need him badly. While I have Beal going to Cleveland at 4 I could see them taking Barnes after his amazing combine. I personally think that Beal would be the better fit especially because Gee played pretty well at SF.

I am not sure I see the Maloofs taking Barnes at #5 that would show that they make a big mistake getting Salmons. However, if it does look like Drummond might fall I could see the Kings trading down to #7 and allowing the Warriors to select Barnes at #5. Good job with Lillard but I would rather see Ross at #11 than Leonard.

Ross is 6'7" so he would give us some flexibility he is also a great shooter and defender. There are no legit options to replace Batum at SF so that will remain his position for now. Adding Ross provides protection in case Elliot does not become the big time player we hope he can be. He also makes Matthews available in trade in case we need help acquiring a center. Also would provide protection in case we do not bring back Batum.

One potential Portland has is trading down with Houston they want a big badly and might be willing to offer 14 and 16 for 11 and N Smith that could potentially allow us to get someone like Ross and a big

Cmeese47 i like your pick at 6 i think lillard is going to be a top notch guard. And i like the number 6 pick call me optimistic but brandon was a number 6 pick so we have had good luck there. But i think i would take myers at 11 i like ross but we need a big and he is a big. He will never be a superstar but i see a tyson chandler style center there. just my thoughts.

i still am in favor for a move of al jefferson

    maybe 3 way trade?

al jefferson and toronto pick to us
pick 6, harris, jj hickson (via sign and trade) and either pick 40 or 41 (future pick considerations)
caldarone and pick 11 (or matthews) to Utah

like this trade for the following reasons
we can pick lillard at 8
toronto likes picking at 6, they like the versitility, and even though they lose caldirone, thinks harris is fine, jj hickson is good, and they fully go into a rebuild mode
utah likes ther upgrade in pg and at pick 11 they pick another big man

only weakness here is if tor picks lillard, would not be happy

I agree with Lillard at 6. I think it's the best move we could make. It addresses need without sacrificing on talent. I have us taking Jones III at 11. I see you have him at 10, but I don't see New Orleans using both draft picks on Power Forwards. Anyway, all this analysis is included in my mock draft (above).

I have Jones playing SF for them. Okafor, Davis and  PJIII would be a huge Front court. Jack and Gordon in the back court you got a pretty scary team. With Ariza, Vasquez and Smith you got a serviceable bench. PJIII would also give them flexibility in case anyone was willing to take Okafor or Ariza.

I enjoyed reading cmeese47's mockdraft with the analysis that went with it.  I think he spent a lot of time putting the information together.  My mock draft goes something like this:

    1.    Davis

    2.    MKG

    3.    Robinson

    4.    Barnes

    5.    Beal

    6.    Lilliard

    7.    Drummond

    8.    Jones111

    9.    Waiters

    10.   J Lamb

    11.   Meyers Leonard

    40.   Jarred Cunningham

    41.   Jae Crowder

I did not put near the time into my draft that csmeese47 did.  It was fun putting it together.

I have Drummond dropping out of the top 6,Sullinger dropping to about #20, and Waiters moving up to the top 10.

    Comments are welcome.

I think we should trade Mathews, S. Williams, #40, #41, and a future second for Okafur, and #10

    Draft Terrence Ross at #10

Sign Batum, JJ, Pryz and Dragic

    Our team would be:

    pg Dragic, Lilliard

    sg E. Williams, Ross

    sf  Batum, JJ, Ross

    c   Okafur, Meyers

    pf  LA, JJ

Thanks Ricky your mock is fine only thing I have an issue with is Waiters and Lamb, both could be lottery picks but I am not sure for those two teams. Detroit has Bynum, Gordon, Stuckey, and Knight all at the guard position. I have a hard time seeing them move Gordon's huge cap figure so them taking a shooting guard does not seem like a good idea.

New Orleans could take a SG but I think that would send a bad message to Eric Gordon. With Jarret Jack, Greivis Vasquez, Eric Gordon and Xavier Henry already on the roster SG seems like a reach with someone like T. Jones still available.

You may be right cmeese47 #7 through #10 were the hardest positions to select.  I was not as knowledgable on the teams picking in that range as you are.  I went with value and assumed the team would do some trading to make the draft work.  I agree that T. Jones could sneek in there very easily.  I guess we shall see in a couple weeks.  Another point: have you heard about any team needing a pg moving up in the draft before Portland picks and if so who do you think would fall to Portland.  Portland might be choosing between Beal, Drummond, and ?

That certainly explains the pick. But do you see NBA teams allowing Jones to play much at the 3? I know that's the image/role he and his agent are trying to market. I think the majority and specifically NBA personnel view him as a Power Forward and will be calling him one on draft day.

@D_pickett I think he would be a great fit with Davis and Okafor. Davis is an excellent athlete and his perimeter defense is very very good. Okafor is solid down low so I can certain see PJIII running at the 3 for them and switching with Davis on defense allowing him to take the better perimeter players. I could also see him moving up to the four and playing along side Davis at the five. I think his length gives him a lot of flexibility and would help him fit on New Orleans or any team.

@Ricky have not heard anything like that so Portland should be safe picking him at #6 then cannot however allow him to last til 8 so if they take someone at 6 like Beal, Barnes, Kidd-Gilchrist or Drummond then they would need to move back up in front of Toronto to take Lillard.

Beal at 5? Where's he going to play? They have Reke already there, just gave Marcus Thornton a large deal, and Jimmer is a two-guard in a point guard's body.

If Beal is there at #5 Sac would need to trade either Tyreke or Jimmer I think Jimmer would be the odd man out.  Beal has too much talent and he is the right size.  Another thought is if for some reason Sac takes drummond then Portland would have to choose between Beal and Lilliard.  I am hearing rumors that someone is trying to trade down ahead of Portland and take Lilliard.  That would sure throw a monkey wrench in our plans.

Is MKG better than Mathews and if so would Charlotte trade the #2 for Mathews and a future first rounder top three protected or maybe even not protected.  This would give us a great back court full of offensive punch and we could still get Lilliard at #6 and Meyers at #11.  I am assuming We will go after Dragic as our starting pg.

With MKG, and Lillard plus whatever we can get with our cap room Portland should be a playoff team which would make the risk of an unprotected pick acceptable.

Ricky under that situation we could offer a max contract to someone although I am not sure there is a center on the market worth that much. Ideal choice would be to offer Hibbert 12 million a season and hope Indiana does not match.

From their Portland could decide what it wanted to:
I would go for some depth at PG and try to sign Freeland

    That would give you

    Lillard/Smith/Veteran at PG
Williams or Matthews/ Maggette at SG
    Batum/ MKG / Babbit / at SF
    Aldridge/ Thomas/ Hickson or FA
    Hibbert/ Freeland

Depending on the pieces plugged in that team would certainly make the playoffs and could be quite scary.

Dustin is DHawes the message board moderator.

We have 28.9 million in cap space not counting J. Freeland, V. Claver, Cap Holds, or Draft Picks 3.06 million pick #6 and 2.13 million for #11

So if we offer R. Hibbert 12 million we would be able to resign both Hickson and Batum.

If EWill blossoms as predicted, Matthews would be an excellent back-up. Matthews is still young in the NBA, I have to cancel last years play because of the play of Raymond and Jamal. so we need another year to see if we have a PG that can contribute the ball to Matthews and Batum where they can score and be more effective. I am not saying that if we pick Ross that Matthews won't be replaced, but his defense, work habits, his constant want to get better and he is already on contract, make him worth while keeping.

I have been trying to assess how many mock draft's say we will draft Drummond at number 6.  I can say more than half of them do.  If we draft Drummond we will lose the chance to draft Lilliard and I think that would be a bad mistake.  I would have to agree with D_pickett that early mock drafts do not look a lot like the current ones except for the top pick.  In the older drafts Waiters, Lilliard were no where to be seen.  But that makes the draft more interesting.  I would be interested in how much of the current information is fodder to confuse the other teams.

Drummond has a few major question marks, one his effort will he play hard every minute he is on the court? Two, can he improve his terrible 29.5 ft%? Can he improve his 32% shooting in post up situations? Is he ready to contribute right away?

We need to look in another direction for a center. Acquire another pick and trade up to get Thomas Robinson. Pair him with LA and we're set. I really expect big things out of T-Rob. His desire to win is unparalleled, he's athletic, relentless on the glass, and is improving his jumper. As of this moment, I'm not sold on Drummond..but that could change at any minute.

I think it has been more than just the GM and coach that had "interim" attached to their title. With all the waiting on a healthy roster, I think Matthews is simply a Brandon Roy insurance policy that had a great payout.

I've liked many of the things I've seen from Wesley. His shooting did drop off a bit, but is generally good. He's solid at defending his position. Even his drive and finish at the rim have developed to a good level. But I think that's the problem: you really can't call him anything better than "good." He's really only a role player on almost any other team. He might want to start, demand more money, or even leave if his minutes are lessened, but he's not going to be a starting guard on a championship team. And that's worth some evaluation.
