That team ranges for a #6 seed at best to a lottery team. Clearly OKC would remain ahead of that team barring numerous injuries, San Antonio also looks likely to remain in the top 4 out west next season, Clippers would be better, Lakers would be better, Memphis is better, Dallas is iffy since I have no idea what they will be able to accomplish this off-season, Utah seems poised to at least contend with that team, as does Houston and Golden State if they can find their SF and some bench players.

You team would be fighting with Dallas, Denver, Golden State, Utah and Houston to make the playoffs.

Using Hollinger's estimated Wins Added since I did not want to search for actual WARP numbers.
    K. Lowry 5.9
    N. Smith -.8
    N. Batum 6.1
    E. Williams .6
    L. Babbit .2
    S. Williams -1.5
    L. Aldridge 11.1
    JJ Hickson 2.1
    C Kaman 3.3
    H. Thabeet .1

Add in say 3 points for the rookies and you end up with 30.1 wins above replacements and replacement players are good for 10 wins so your team would be on average a 40 win team and would likely vary from 35-45 wins. That is not likely to get it done in the competitive West.

I don't like the backups at all. Elliot Williams and Joel Freeland is one thing, but we need a point guard and a center. Kyle Lowry is nice, but we need somebody like Steve Nash or Jason Kidd if were going to keep Nolan Smith around so he has somebody with that kind of experience to learn from. As far as the center postition, Chris Kaman? Really? He would waste a ton of our cap space which could definitely be better used elsewhere. Dude only got 6 rebounds and 12 points a game last year. We might as well just make Aldridge a permanent center seeing as he was good for 20 and 8. The only real thing I could see as an upgrade is his 1.5 blocks a game, and even then we could get near that somewhere else.

i'm not sure they would rule out steve nash if they were drafting a point guard considering he doesnt play more than 35 minutes a game. im getting an idea they have a plan

You''re right. They should dump Monta though. I was thinking maybe the Rockets could use the number 1 pick to get the lakers to do a sign and trade for D12.

Batum is a great fit for their system and is young. Plus a lottery pick and potentially 2 other first rounders would give them a ton of flexibility.

If they say no we move on but at least offering the deal publicly will...

Dont see how we can get a starting defensive center. I will be very impressed if Olshey can find one

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
