Speaking of Jamal, here's the latest rumor from Hoopshype via ESPN-
The Wolves also remain interested in Jamal Crawford according to sources. Crawford could be moved by Portland during Thursday's draft. If not, he'll opt-out of his contract and become a free agent this summer. The Wolves nearly signed him in December, and then came close to a acquiring him in a trade in March.
Jamal for the #18 would be sensational.

okay so bare with me im new to this but what if we traded jamal and nic i hope we can trade nic i dont know how exactly that works with him being a f.a. if not maybe babbit nolan or elliot or both or all 3 plus our 11th pick and one or both second rounders to the wizards for their 3rd pick and andray blatche who the wizards have been wanting to get rid of for a while. so now we pick MKG with the 3rd and Damian Lillard with the 6th. MKG will bring a hunger to win and if his scoring improves i think hes a future superstar and with Lillard i think well have a rose/westbrook type of player.

    So our lineup well be:

Lillard, Wes, MKG, Lamarcus, and Blatche who is tall enough and still an upgrade

and our bench would consist of hickson and whoever is not involved with the trade.

I think in two years we could be right back in winning form.

Can we trade Jamal and Raymond for Luol Deng and Joakim Noah?

If it goes through, maybe the front office should then draft Damian Lillard at 6, and Ty Zeller (or any other best big man available) at 11.

Maybe a move should also be done so that Moe Harkless can be drafted during the late 1st round.

That's the kind of move I would love to see. I don't really see the value in moving up in this draft because the 4 or 5 guys after Davis could all go at different spots. So, to target anyone top 5, you have to get Charlotte's pick. I've come to terms with the fact that we probably will not have MKG, Beal, or T. Rob next season. But acquiring another mid first round pick with a player who we don't intend on keeping anyway? That deal better go through at 4:31pm on Thursday...

Chris Haynes reported that a multitude of teams are interested in Jamal Crawford-
The Portland Trail Blazers are fielding trade offers for guard Jamal Crawford and the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Boston Celtics are among the teams actively pursuing the scoring specialist intensely, a league source tells CSNNW.com.

Other teams who have shown diminutive interest are the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns according to a person familiar with the situation.
Boston does have tow first-round picks and I'd take either in a heart beat for Crawford.

Houston has sent two trade offers to the Trailblazers in the past few days as they continue to try and get Dwight Howard.

The first rumored trade offer was Kyle Lowry to Portland for #6 pick and Luke Babbitt
The second one was the 14th and 16th pick for #6

Another rumor has Boston offering pick #22 to Portland in exchange for Jamal Crawford.

If Portland were to get 14 16 22 to go with 11 they could pick up a nice array of talent.
Portland could end up with Terrance Ross at 11, Moe Harkless at 14, Kendall Marshall at 16 and Fab Melo at 22. Or you could take Zeller at 11, Harkless at 14, Marshall at 16, and Sullinger at 22.

Is Portland going to make a deal?

not in favor of dealing the 6th pick. that pick is too valuable.  i would definitely trade crawford for anything in the 1st round and pick up sullinger possibly.  i like the idea of lillard/waiters or lillard/leonard more than the 4 player combinations higher in the lottery.
really, in this draft, i am more in favor of trading up for picks than down

Terrance Ross and Moe Harkless have the potential to be the best SG and SF drafted. Will they get there no one knows but multiple mid round picks could = a home run.

Ross played mostly SF at UW but he is more likely to be a SG in the NBA. At 6'7" he certainly can play both similar to Batum.

Rivers would be gone by 11. And I really like Terrence Ross. He has the NBA frame. Amazing stroke and form, long enough to defend the perimeter but also quick enough and athletic enough to guard smaller guys. At times last season he would really attack the rim and at other times he would just kind of dissapear. Consistency would be his issue in Portland but he is such a gifted shooter. I would be willing to bet he could take Matthews' starting spot by mid season.

The Blazers, Warriors, Raptors and Hornets are also looking at various options with their picks. I think the Blazers at No. 6 or No. 11 are the likeliest of that bunch to make a trade. They have interest in Jazz forward Paul Millsap and Rockets guard Kyle Lowry. ESPN.com

I disagree. I think he's quite underrated. I haven't seen a single mock here or anywhere else that projects him as a top-10 pick, but I think he is a top-10 talent. A lot of people complain about his assist numbers, but they tend to compare him to PGs, which he isn't. He's just a ball-handling 2 with amazing scoring ability. He will tear it up no matter where he goes. I guarantee it.

    From RealGM-
The Cavs Beat Reporter is on 750 right now. He says that the Cavs aren't crazy about this draft and are willing to move down. He said the Blazers and Cavs have discussed two deals. One of #6 and Claver for #4, but apparently the Cavs turned it down. Then there was rumors of #4 and #24 for #6 and #11, but the beat reporter thinks the Blazers would be crazy to do that (he's right). He says to still keep an eye on that however because there's some history between Olshey and Cavs management and that something might eventually happen with the #4 and #6 alone.

Via Sam Amick, Blazers looking to move up to #2-
The Bobcats continue to talk with Cleveland about swapping No. 4 for No. 2, with Charlotte surely pushing for as many assets as possible to go with it (the Cavs have the 24th, 33rd and 34th picks). Houston (Nos. 14, 16 and 18) and Portland (Nos. 6 and 11) are trying to land the No. 2 pick as well, according to sources.

oh god. amick thinks we may draft rivers at 6.  i will be incredibly disappointed if we do that. rivers is just another volume shooting ball hog. not a team player, does not get teammates involved. last thing the blazers need. i really don't think olshey is stupid enough to do this, especially with waiters still around who does everything rivers does but does everything else too. please don't take rivers at 11 either. stay away from rivers and henson. rivers will probably be a decent player scoring wise but never a winner and never a team player.  henson is just going to get broken in two in the NBA. he seems pretty soft mentally too (just my observation - nothing else) i think the safest thing to do would be to take lillard or waiters at 6 and leonard at 11.

Woj reports Waiters to Cleveland at 4 is gaining momentum-
The Cavaliers haven’t been able to get Waiters to visit Cleveland for a workout and meeting with officials, but it hasn’t extinguished management’s ever-evolving fascination with choosing Waiters at No. 4 – especially if the Cavaliers are unable to secure Florida guard Bradley Beal.
Cleveland has intensified its background checks on Waiters, and sources in direct contact with Cavs officials believe Waiters would be the franchise's choice over Kansas’ Thomas Robinson should the Charlotte Bobcats select Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2, and the Washington Wizards take Beal at No. 3.

CNNSI's Sam Amick reports Portland could be looking to move up to #3 to take Dion Waiters-

One executive said on Wednesday night that Cleveland (No. 4) was under the impression that Portland was attempting to use its No. 6 pick to get Washington's No. 3 pick and draft Syracuse shooting guard Dion Waiters. Then Yahoo! Sports reported that the Cavs -- who were at the front of that line of teams trying to get to No. 2 in order to pick Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal -- were seriously considering Waiters at No. 4.

While Waiters is known to be in the Cavs' mix, sending out the message that he's their guy at No. 4 could lead to Beal's landing in their lap. Here's that scenario: The Bobcats select Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson, as many expect them to do if they keep the No. 2 pick. Then the Trail Blazers, if successful in obtaining the third pick, take Waiters there, leaving Beal to Cleveland.

lol  i like waiters.  13 ppg coming in off the bench, the guy woulda been a 20 ppg scorer had he started, and he just has an ability to create, makes things happen, he's a game changer and I like the upside.

but I been hearing so many rumors, specially on twitter.  If you listen to everything you hear, then there's about 10 different guys rumored to be picked in the top 4, drummond, MKG, and others go from possible 2 down to 8, been hearing trades of 2 for 4 and 24, 6 and 11 for 3, portland is keeping their picks, portland isn't, and there's about 15 different guys rumored to be going to portland at 6 and 11 if they keep the picks, which surely they won't.  lol.  so-called experts don't know squat, everything is speculative.  beat writers want to make a name for themselves, everyone thinks if they're right with their predictions they'll get respect, and the only guys who know anything are the guys in the war room... and only valid information leaked is what teams intentionally leak so they can get approval or hear disapproval from fans.  So don't be surprised if some important people are lurking about to see what fans are saying.

Problem is, there doesn't seem to be much of a consensus amongst any fans.

Waiters would have not been a 20 ppg starter as he averaged just 21 points per 40 minutes and there was no way he would play that many minutes.

so now you're a math major?  crunching numbers isn't proof; it's just numbers on a page.  You have no idea what Waiters woulda done if he'd been in the game from tipoff.  It's not as easy to get into the flow of the game coming in off the bench, but either way, i don't care, he averaged like 12 or 13 ppg in part time duty and that's more impressive than Lamb did as a full time starter.  I'm not saying he's as gifted as Lillard and I'm not trying to tout him as a better shooter, but he brings other attributes to the game Lillard doesn't and he's more equipped to be considered an actual SG than Lillard is.  You want a shooting PG, I don't, and I think Waiters is a better fit, you don't.  we'll agree to disagree.  In another post you said you would take lamb at 6 over waiters and that's just nutty crazy, so I don't think you actually follow college basketball that much and I trust my opinion over yours.

I heard some rumors about houston on nba network:

They like how strong Dragic finished the season and they're going to push hard to bring Dragic back.

But they also just mentioned Portland going after him, just not sure if Portland can make a big enough push.

They said Lowry is not going to want to sit on the bench in 4th quarters, but expect it, so Lowry is more than likely going to be traded...

They're also saying Houston has 3 picks in the first round and they really don't think they're going to draft 3 new young guys b/c that essentially guarantees they'll be back in the lottery next year, so word is, they're going to use their 3 picks, and make a big push for Dwight Howard, then try and get him under contract.

I heard something else. hmmm.  i forgot.
