    Neil Olshey to be named the Blazers' next GM

    CSNNW.com confirms David Aldridge's (of NBA.com) report that Neil Olshey and the Los Angeles Clippers have decided to part ways and Olshey will be named the next general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers.

    On Friday, the Clippers announced that they agreed in principle with Olshey to keep him as their general manager for a third season, but talks broke off over the weekend.

     

    Indiana's general manager David Morway, Philadelphia’s assistant general manager Tony DiLeo, and former New Orleans general manager Jeff Bower, were the other finalist for the Trail Blazers' opening.

    It's been over a year since the Trail Blazers had a permanent general manager in place and now Olshey can step in just in time for the 2012 NBA Draft.

    I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
