I have pondered this long and hard. I suggest we send LA and both of our first round picks for Howard. That would leave us plenty of cap space to add pieces around him, and I really don't think Orlando is going to get a better offer than that.

I was on the Howard bandwagon for awhile but after that fiasco last year I do not want anything really to do with him. Now that being said if he wants to come here and sign a hefty contract than lets do it. but he has one year left and we would just rent him for a year because we gave up both draft picks AND LA so he really has no team here outside what Batum? about the same scenario as Orlando if not worse IMO

We can't even hire a GM, let alone go get Dwight Howard.

Obviously he would need to sign a contract extension for us to trade for him. We would have even more cap than before with no draft picks. We would still have Batum, Hickson, Matthews, Williams, Freeland, Klaver, Smith, and about 14mil in cap space to add free agents. Do you think that we still couldn't get top tier FA's with Howard on our team. The only downside to this is I want to see SVG as our coach and that wouldn't happen with Howard here lol.

You would have to be crazy to do a trade like that! Dwight is a dominant big but he won't bring you a championship without having another star next to him. So we get rid of an top PF and two high draft picks for a cry baby? Heck no.

yeah. no thanks. keep LA. keep the picks. draft barnes, beal, or drummond because one of them is almost guaranteed to be left at 6. then take marshal or lillard at 11 (maybe lamb if we don't take beal). we then have probably three all star caliber players instead of trading all our assets for one guy who probably wouldn't even want to come to portland.

Or we draft Drummond and Marshall and they bust and we have another 40 win season. Its always a gamble in the draft.

I for one am not shocked to see LA not included on the list. He had a good season but the team struggled which is the likely reason David Lee was ed over him.

Or Dallas keeps pick and drafts a foreign player meaning he does not count against the cap. No one is just going to give up a mid level first round pick even in a weak draft for 2 mid second round picks in an even weaker second round of a weak dra...

Well it all depends on what you use that cap space for doesn''t it sign Tony Allen and now your Batum for Dunleavy trade just became Batum for Dunleavy and Tony Allen and starts looking a lot better
