LILLARD!!! Hes gonna be a star and the Blazers need another star to go next to Lamarcus and with the 11 austin rivers. Three stars now he could start or be our james harden!

Has anyone wondered why Lilliard will not work out unless it is a single person workout?  I have just begun to wonder what possible benefits could be acquired from such a stance.  Is anyone else questioning this decision.

I do not see the benefit of him playing scrubs anyway so I do not think it mattered.

after all these weeks of thought, at this point, its waiters or lillard at 6. whoever will be the best NBA player and i really have no idea. i'm stuck. could change by thursday though. i just wish there was some way of telling if waiters or lillard will be around at 11.

The best thing Lillard has going for him is his ability to finish with either hand. Unlike a lot of young guards he is versatile and can go either way this makes him a lot harder to defend than someone like Jeremy Lin who can only go right.

yeah. lillard has good fundamentals and athleticism and a strong will to win and improve.  those three things will prevent him from being a bust.  i think he is a very safe pick. he's going to be good. the question now is, how good?  looks like Sac is considering lillard at 5.  that sure could turn all our speculations upside down.

I don't mean to be critical of your knowledge or anyone else's here, but Lillard was only on TV twice that I was able to record on DirecTV and then he was in Portland once, and most people do not really follow Weber State, so I can't imagine everyone here is an expert on what he brings to the table simply based on some scouting reports and videos they've see.

I was the one who mentioned Lillard's left-handed ability back at the onset of discussions because that was one attribute that really appealed to me; he is nifty with the ball.  So I appreciate your respect to paraphrase what I said, but I'd appreciate if you'd quote me instead of pawning my knowledge off as your original thought.

If MKG, Barnes, or Beal slips to #6 then that is who Portland should take. If all three are gone then it's Lillard. Sac won't take Lillard, Petrie is just trying to get an extra draft pick out of portland to swap picks, Portland will call their bluff.

I don't know what the talk about Thomas Robinson is all about, other than maybe Olshey's countering Sacramento's alleged interest in Lillard, PF is one position Portland does not need to fill, especially now that Hickson is going to get his Bird rights.

If the thread said Babbitt beat some brothers you all would be expecting a hate crime. I do not see why this is a big deal. Police beat their wives daily and we do not have a thread about that and that is a real issue plaguing society.

I completely agree he could be that voice on the court we need. Lamarcus just isn''t that guy and Damian can learn some on court leadership from him. A small lineup when we need a score bad of Dame, Wes, Paul, Nic, and Lamarcus would be potent.

I would agree Harris seems more dynamic but Harkless looks pretty good as well.
