    Via CSNNW- Hawks Deny Blazers Access To GM Rick Sund
    Now that the Hawks' season is over, a source tells CSNNW.com that “Sund to the Trail Blazers is not in his plans.” Sund and Hawks' ownership are in talks about re-signing being that his current deal expires June 30 and I've been told that retirement is strong possibility.

    Now, with other teams likely pursuing the Trail Blazers candidates, Miller says they won't let other situations dictate how they land their next GM. 

    “We will continue our process in the same manner,” Miller said. “We're going to stay with our process.” 

    Miller also added that they're not closing the door to candidates they've interviewed in the past, which will expand the list of potential candidates.
    A source close to the situation told CSNNW.com that Chris Mullin is not a candidate for the Portland Trail Blazers general manger position.

    i dont understand why people think buchanan should stay, if he does have the authority that a gm should you have to look at what he's done. i can appreciate the boldness of the moves he's made but it has been one disaster after another. being a nice guy isn't good enough to warrant a gm position. theoretically you want somebody who actually knows what he's doing. hopefully the new jersey trade will work out but there's a 25% chance it wont and i still dont understand not drafting faried, who was widely known to be a beast on the boards. who cares if you already have a starter in lamarcus. let them compete and see what works and what doesnt.

    I think Miller likes the control he currently has and will be reluctant to select someone before the draft.  He works too slow and I think he operates as a control person.

    If the thread said Babbitt beat some brothers you all would be expecting a hate crime. I do not see why this is a big deal. Police beat their wives daily and we do not have a thread about that and that is a real issue plaguing society.

    I completely agree he could be that voice on the court we need. Lamarcus just isn''t that guy and Damian can learn some on court leadership from him. A small lineup when we need a score bad of Dame, Wes, Paul, Nic, and Lamarcus would be potent.
