Oden's biggest problem may not have been the Portland medical staff.

This news officially makes the decision to cut him a good one.  I don't think there is much room for argument now.  The negativity surrounding this guy, whether it was his fault or not, has been such a BUZZ-KILL.  The distractions we have sustained from Oden have been a major contributing factor to the state we're in now.  It appears that there was no end to it either.

To be fair, drinking a lot as a 20-year-old with a lot of money and becoming an alcoholic are two very different things. When a guy with a dry sense of humor says, "I was pretty much an alcoholic," it's not his first of 12 steps to getting sober: he never had an addiction to begin with. This whole thing sounds like some gossip columnist trying to stir the pot in an already negative situation. If anything, the actual quotes from Greg make him sound like a more genuine and stand-up guy than most of the superstars in this league. That being said, I'm just fine with his era ending in Portland. I don't even care if he blows up for another franchise. I was done with waiting for half the roster to meet its potential.

    Agree with Cmeese

Nicholsan will be a solid player. Hes the new leagues Brandon Bass lol...funny Magic drafted him... He would have been a good back up to LA but would have been dumb at 11

Lamb, Harkless, Henson would have been great...

Wow, Im very dissapointed in Damian. The victims  themselves  said "Damian Lillard instigated the fight" Lillard is currently my favorite player in the league, but has lost a bit of respect from me. Why on earth would you get in some dudes...

Maybe we should go for Pekovic as a restricted free agent and see what Minn will do.

Okay, I''ll admit it, I like Asik better. I definitely think they will both have very good careers. And finally, someone who agrees, that Ibaka is a  shot blocker, not really a great defender.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
