Mathews or Batum - Who do we keep?

    I like Matthews because he is not afraid to go mix it up in the paint. Yes Batum has good defensive skills, but his offense disappears in the forth quarter.

    Matthews plays with more heart.  Their stats are virtually the same.

    We need strong Paint Players in the forth instead of players whose offensive game disappears.

    I am tired of waiting on Batum to improve his game.



    There are teams who really want Batum. Do a sign and trade with those teams so we get something back in return.

    Trade Batum for Rondo and keep Mathews.

    Throw in Kurt Thomas,the Rhino,Felton and Thabeet for Rondo.

    Why do people always say ridiculous stuff. Maybe Boston would take Batum in a sign and trade but they would like a lot more. Also no team is going to want a sign and trade deal for Felton, Thabeet, Rhino or to trade for a 39 year old Thomas. I like Matthews effort and his toughness but both of those guys have to go for us to get a lot better.

    I semi agree with cmeese47. Matthews is incredibly inconsistent and has been given a pretty good chance to excel. I have always loved Batum but I think trading him would be something that would bring us the best return.

    Thanks Siccolo, not to knock on Bosh. I think if he was the number one option he would go back to being a beast. I miss making jokes about him playing for the RAPTORS. He is a great player.

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
