Draft Anthony Davis and trade Lamarcus Aldridge for someone like Demarcus Cousins and a pick. That way we stay young and get a future all-star to play along side Davis.

Nothing wrong with aiming for Howard but I would rather try and sign him than trade for him as a one year rental.
If Howard leaves you traded LA and Batum for nothing.

Yes, and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Just my opinion, but I would keep the younger Davis and start a youth movement, similar to what we did in 06.

I do not disagree Jams but ideally you want you core group around the same age. Keeping LA would be nice but not sure how well him and Davis would mesh

well in college i think davis prooved to be a great rebounder and block shot, if he can grab 10 a night and 2 blocks and LA at center with 7 or 8 boars i think we solved the C thing- kinda interesting concept though- our pf is the one getting the blocks and boars and our C is the scorer

Problem is Davis or LA cannot guard a power post player neither one is strong enough well that might be a small issue it is something to consider it would not be an issue with someone like Cousins or Howard.

but what c's will hurt us offensively? bynum howard and millsap? outside that which c's are great offensive #'s we just gotta box out keep them off the glass

Well the ones I can think of would be Cousins, Howard, Bynum, Love, Jefferson, and Duncan. Randolph would also be on the list one he gets healthy again. Not exactly the biggest problem to have but still a risk in the playoffs.

If we got the #1 pick then that would have to be turning the #11 pick into the #1. This means we would have the #1 and the #7 pick. I think then I would find out who wants the number 1 and what are they willing to give up for it. the results of these discussions would drive how I would go from there. Cousins and a high draft pick would be a good trade for the number 1 pick this year.

I say keep LA u need some veteran leadership then draft Davis he is still going to grow look at dirk when he was that age and now he is a true 7 footer that playes PF but if u have Davis and LA lamarcus wont need to do it all and can focus his energy on gaurding centers maybe even put on some more muscle. But we wont have to worry about that.

2. Draft Davis and keep LA but move one to Center
3. Draft Drummond and keep LA
4.Look to trade Batum
5. Get a All star PG in Free agency
6. Trade batum and Felton for a SF,C,or PG

If we get #1 then this no longer becomes a retool but a rebuild but a short one.
You obviously take Davis and while I think LA and Davis could probably play together the team has a lot of needs.
I would look to trade to make sure we also landed MKG.
With those two and Elliot Williams we would have three good defenders to work with.
We could move LA to Boston for Rondo. Giving us our franchise PG and some extra cap space.
You can then easily fill in the pieces with the 25 million in remaining cap space.

I would like to see us try to use both of our 1st round picks on centers - Drummond and Zeller would be great. That way we can start the better of the 2 and have backup if one goes down.

My math says that our cap room will likely be more than what has been reported so far because we will likely get rid of Felton and Crawford. We'll have all the money in the world for a point guard. A good PG and C around Aldridge, Batum, and Matthews would be an excellent starting 5. And keep Hickson and we'll have the best PF lineup in the league.
