It just doesn't seem necessary. We have Blake! People seem to think that Blake is a crumby point guard. He isn't!! He can pass the ball and score if he has to. At backup we have Bayless. We haven't seen him play much but I can imagine that if we let him play he will show us what he can do. If he isn't good then we can trade and maybe move Blake down a spot. But if we do need a point guard I think that maybe we should get Von Wafer. Call me crazy but I think it's a good idea
I am a fan of Rudy drilling a three right in somebody's face. Ruuuuuuuudddddyyyy

i love blake, but ive seem him balk at open shots and not take them. He's great at dishing the balls out but sometimes you just gotta trust your shot. This is the Lakers, Brandon roy isnt gonna get pissed because blake took an open three. I just think if Blake shot a bit more, the new point guard talk would stop. Last season he did have some solid games for us.

I don't think anyone thinks Blake is a CRUMMY PG. I think what they are saying is that he isn't a great Starting PG. If you look at our starting lineup, every position is filled with a sure fire starter except the PG. He is one of the best back up PGs in the league. When you compare his ability to other Starting PGs though he doesn't fall into the category that would take us over the top as a career history. With that said, he had a standout season this last year. He got us to the Playoffs, and he wasn't the only player on the team that forgot to show up. That first round loss was a team effort and with the team we are puting on the floor this year, taking account for experience, Oden's workout regiment, and the addition of a hungry Martel, this is a team that could easily make the Conference Finals. This is why I think the most important issue to address is the back up PF, if we can get a top back up PF in that spot we could make the NBA Finals with the rest of the team we have, possibly win it all.

I love Blake but in my opinion, we're not going to be championship contenders without a better starting point guard...  I think he would be a great backup for a great team but if you look at all of the championship teams, most of them have atleast a good point guard... Derek Fisher, Tony Parker, Rajon Rondo wasn't the greatest when the C's won but he had a little more help than the Blazers have.  I love Blake but I think in order to get our team to the next level of contending for a championship we need a better point guard to start and have Blake come off the bench.

I could not agree more, Batum is a decent player but he is not amazing at anything. He is a decent three point shooter, he is a decent rebounder, a decent passer, and a decent defender. His contract is far beyond decent though and will only get wo...

We know exactly what JJ defense at the 4 is and it is just as bad as the 5 you act like he has been playing center his whole career.

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...
