According to Jason Quick, former NBA player, Suns general manager and current TNT broadcaster Steve Kerr, after being contacted by the Trail Blazers, has stated through his agent that he is not interested in filling Portland's general manager position:

Kerr, the accomplished NBA guard and former general manager of the Phoenix Suns, said he is happy with his life as a broadcaster for TNT, which allows him to spend more time with his family. It is the same reason he gave the Trail Blazers last May when team president Larry Miller first approached him as a candidate to fill the vacancy left by the firing of Rich Cho.

One year later, Kerr was once again the first call for Miller.

“He likes Larry, and certainly isn’t closing any doors, but right now he loves his life at TNT,’’ said Mark Bartelstein, Kerr’s agent. “He will come back to the NBA in the future, whether it’s as a coach or in the front office, but that’s a few years down the road.’’

Yahoo Sports is also reporting the Trail Blazers have contacted Noah Croom, currently a player agent, as another possible option.

I'd bring Kerr off the bench. Can't have those terrible nights behind the arc continue into next season.

Thank you, Knorton. Now more rebuilding or anything. No rookie nonsense. Get a solid Defensive big. Trade every single pick to get it.

Not sold on Muhammad. His offence isn''t really that great. Oladipo would be great, but I would trade it all for a defensive big.

I don''t trust big men with a history of injury. Ibaka also weighs more than Noel, but you''re right, early days yet, he could bulk up. I am sure, that he will lose some of his speed and athleticism when he does though. Wasn''t that one of his bes...

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
