    The Blazers are in a great situation this summer. WIth two high draft picks and a load of cap room, they can do something big. This years free agent class is no Lebron, Bosh, but it is solid. Deron Williams is frustrated and seems likely that he will opt out of his contract. If Williams opts out of his contract, I have heard that two likely candidates for him are Dallas and Portland. With the cap space, there is the chance to get a big name star and another glue guy in the linuep. 



    Our top priority I think is to bring back Nicolas for sure. I would also like to see us keep Hickson (RFA) and Flynn (UFA). Then if we could get a big name like Deron Williams...



    Another player I would like to see is Jeff Green. Now I know he will be coming off of heart surgery, but he could be another quality backup player like Hickson is to Aldridge



    Here is a line-up I would like to see:



    PG- Williams, Flynn, Smith

    SG- Matthews, Jeremy Lamb (second lottery pick), Williams

    SF- Batum, Green, Babbitt

    PF- Aldridge, Hickson

    C- Drummond (first lottery pick), Thomas

    Two things first there are already like 8 off-season threads why not bump one of them. Second your team cannot happen with Hickson, Batum and Flynn's cap hold we would not have enough money to make a max offer to Williams. Additionally, after signing Williams we would have no money to retain Hickson or Flynn if anyone made them an offer sheet. Let alone be able to sign Jeff Green.

    Agree.  Nice post.  Like I've said...I don't see the Blazers using both lottery picks for themselves.  I sooner see a trade involving a pick and an existing player for an already established, but young PG.  Aldridge will not be the centerpiece by the time college kids develop, particularly Freshmen college players.  While exciting and fun to talk about, drafting for the rebuild doesn't make alot of sense IF you're building around #12.

    I think we need a PG who plays defense and is a pass first player who if left alone will take and make the shot. Felton has a good game now and then but no consistency, last night he had a good game but it was against New Orleans which does not say much.

    I agree with u bdawg somewhat. I feel like Brandon Jennings would be our best chance, cuz there's already rumors that Milwaukee was listening to trade offers . Other then that, its hard to find teams willing to trade young good point guards. For picks that arent in top 3. Hopfully Flynn starts beasting. N keep him keep our draft picks( lamb n Cody zeller wud be nice , if Cody declairs for the draft.) N there is some alright free agents out there.

    i kinda hope we trade are two first for drummond if he doesnt fall to us he's all we need if we got D.williams given the emergence of babbit i dont think we need anything else resign batum,flynn and hickson draft drummond and i think were GTG

    We cannot retain Flynn, Hickson, Batum and afford to sign Williams.
