Personally, I think that we should be playing our newest assets to our team; Jonny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet. We did not trade Crash and Camby for nothing. Raymond Felton is a great point guard, however, he's not on every single game, and since we got rid of Nate Mcmillan I dont see our new coach making good moves. We did win last game, but we need help from our bench when we start to fall behind. Aldridge, Batum, Crawford, Felton and Matthews can't do it alone.

I disagree with you. I do not see Portland thinking that either Thabeet nor Flynn are good long term options. By playing them you only risk the chance of someone in the organization wanting to keep them. We are doing what we should be doing. People like Nolan Smith and Luke Babbit will still be under the cap next year so it is essential to know what we can expect from them. The other guys will be gone this off-season.

New players need to learn a new system.  It's not good to thrust very young players right into the mix.  Veterans are a different story...these guys have had very limited playing time in the NBA and need to familiarize.  It's appropriate to hold off for a bit despite how anxious the rest of us are for change.

Luke Babbitt isn't as efficient, neither is Nolan Smith. Craig Smith is good, but just because someone is a veteran does not mean that they are going to win games, we want to make it to the playoffs, and win this organization a title. We are 23-26, Sometimes the veterans need to step out of their roles, and give it up to the bench to prove themselves. All players in the NBA aren't always on and everyone knows that. I mean Kobe was just taken out the other night, and he's phenomenal. So, we need to make some adjustments in the lineup and give veterans less minutes and give the bench an extra few minutes in the game. I'm really feeling Eliot Williams.

@B4life91. I had a favorite player one time and his name was Jim Barnett he was a 2 guard and he backed up Geoff Petrie and  he was inconsistant at best. 1 night he could throw up 30 points and the next he could throw up 8 he could spark the team and get them going. He became my favorite player when he went toe to toe with Wilt Chamberlin in a fist fight and both walked away with stitches and a 50$ fine for fighting. It was not until a few years ago that I found out that it was his 40ft. jumper that coined the phrase Rip City. He was also the only guard at that time that could contain Pete Maravich.

Raymond Felton has to be your favorite player.I understand. But he has had as many good games as Kobe has had bad. Raymond has had really no good games before the trade deadline and none on +.500 teams. Luke Babbitt isn't as efficient cause he does not get the time. The same with Nolan and he is a rookie. they are bench players. Raymond is our starting PG he has had 4 good games this season I cannot get on this band wagon. So in a nutshell I disagree.

@Barnettfan. I love the education on the old school, I like that. I agree with you, I'm just saying that all the players deserve time when we are coming down the stretch and we are getting killed out there. We have been losing games and its time to distribute more time amongst our team. Its time for a change... US, Blazer fans are eager to see our team make the playoffs and get a piece of the post season, and maybe a title.

I think we should give Flynn a shot. He seemed decent in the OKC game, all things considered. Nolan will be here next year and will actually have time to practice and learn the system better. Flynn doesn't have that luxury, so we should play him now because he could surprise us and be a decent PG for us. And despite the recent up swing in his game lately, the Blazers would be stupid to resign Felton. Flynn's younger, faster and in much better shape, and he had hip surgery! He just needs some time to get used to this team. Nolan will get better, too, which makes me excited what those two playing well could be like.

I think Thabeet won't get much of a chance at all, especially since we got Hickson who's playing very well and should have a good shot at being here next year. We mainly got Thabeet for the expiring contract. I also won't be too surprised if Jamal Crawford doesn't get resigned next year. He's been mis-utilized this season and has been very inconsistent to boot. Love the guy (even bought his jersey) and hope he can be around next year, but I personally don't see that happening. The only way I see him staying is if we get a coach who will play to his strengths (i.e. playing SHOOTING GUARD, NOT POINT GUARD).

I think the reason Lillard says he likes McCollum is because their games are so similar. How can you not like CJ McCollums game. For real Im on the trade LA for the Wizards #3 pick bandwagon, then draft Noel, or trade it, or maybe get DeAndre Jord...

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
