OK, OK, OK,  I have blasted Rymond Felton early in the season as one who wanted him gone.   But I like his game lately, agressive, turnovers are way down, making things happen by driving the lane (not like LA) dishing the ball off more instead of taking those long jumpers.

You can see how much he has improved since the season began.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3931/gamelog;_ylt=Ahb_vyk6L3rPgkN3S27md1UcPaB4

    In March his stats are:

    Points 12.1 per game
    Steals 1.4 per game
Turnovers 2.5 and that includes zero last night against the touchest defense in the NBA Memphis
Assists - nearly six per game

You take away the first two games of the month and the numbers increase more.

I am actually beginning to think Felton could be our PG for years to come.  Not there yet, but progressing.  That says a lot for me as in the first two months of the season I wanted his butt on the first plane out of town.

Do you agree or do you think I am Nuts.

Sessions shut him down tonight. He's had more bad nights then good, it's that simple.

Don't make me do it, I'll come back here with Telfair stats if I have too.

No denying his play has improved along with the rest of the team.  Plus Nolan is getting some minutes and looks better all the time.  I'm not sure what Felton's fate will be next season, but please God don't let the Blazers waste our first pick on another PG...

Particularly since LMA is going to bring Deron Williams next season!

Im not impressed. He lacks poise under pressure. He always seems to be one dribble away from a costly turnover. He doesnt read defensives very well either. A point guard has to be the brain of the game,he is not. A point guard knows when to use his speed, and when to use his quickness. He does not.Felton would be a decent back up point if he knew anything about humility. What bothers me is that he could be a really good point if he were to just remember that this is L.A.'s team until further notice. Especially late in games.

Thank you, BlazerManiac, for coming around :) more people will as the season progresses and they see Felton get more and more comfortable, and people learn when/how to receive his passes.

When he and LaMarcus have some practices together, and Felton not only is smoother/more consistent but adds the LOB PASS to his repertoire, we're gonna be lookin gooooood. You can see them try for the lob a few times since Kaleb started coaching, but it's just not dialed yet. Despite how Andre made it look, that is NOT an easy move to pull off. They'll get the calibration set though, and it's gonna be beautiful.

I should clarify Blake is a better pg. Blake Griffenstein that is, he gets more assists per game

I wonder what the outcome would have been if he played last night, the way he is playing lately?

Well one game out of the entire imes since Nate was fired.  He still drove the offense albeit he screwed the pooch at the end.

I a still cming sround yet, but I am still not totaly a Felton Believer.

I would say keep him, if he could figure out a way not to screw the pooch in the lat 5 minutes of the game.  That is when we need someone like Brandon or Andre.

if you solely on felton's stats post nate, then yes you could see him as an option as pg of the future.  BUT if you watch the games there is no way i would ever want this guy running my team.  i don't mind turnovers it happens, but with felton they happen at the worst possible moments, i.e. end of games and on fastbreaks.  also i don't want someone on my team that comes into camp fat and out of shape.  i'm not even sure if he is in shape now.  one more thing, i don't think he is coachable.  he's fine right now cause the blazers have a young "players" coach.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
