On the heels of the Saints making headlines for bounties, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCgbek1qKFc.  Ironic in a very unfortunate way

Think Monte Williams should join Sean Peyton on the sideline for a year?

I did not see rhe game. Saw all the highlights all I can say is maybe the players got tired of the refs not calling the fouls on Griffenstien. Which is more the case a.k.a. bodyshot from Andre Miller.

This isn't hockey. BOOOOOOO. That assault should bring at least a 2 game suspension.

All these players try hard. This wasn't a premeditated hit, it was, like Barnettfan said, a frustration move like the one we saw (and still defend) from Andre Miller last year against Blake. When you're a professional athlete putting out the effort to win but no matter what you do there's a guy in b&w that's telling you you're not good enough to get the call, eventually just about everyone is going to take it into their own hands. That is just a not-so-pretty part of human nature.

There is no doubt left this year that NBA officiating is unbalanced. It's one thing for a star player to get the benefit of the doubt in a close call (still incredibly unfair when you have videocameras that can show you the correct call, yet you CHOOSE not to use the tools at your disposal), but it's entirely another level of corrupt officials the way that Blake Griffin consistently gets away with elbows in the back, pushing from underneath, jumping over the back, pushing off players, and moving his feet. Seriously, I'd love to host some sort of contest for Griffin fans to try and hold up any single game this season where he isn't given no-call after no-call. This isn't conspiracy, it's simply promotion, and it's soaked into every level of the NBA.

Anyway, I'm just saying the problem is not with someone finally getting fed up with Griffin, the problem is with the officials setting up Griffin for other players to hate him because they feel like he's abusing the game.

What are you all talking about? Every time I see a stupid Kia commercial I want to punch Blake Griffin in his ugly face. Jason Smith was just in the position to do so... that's all that happened. Every Kia commercial he makes, Griffin increases his risk of concussion by 13%.

And while I'm on this pseudo-rant: if you're an NBA big man who's going to sell out to an advertising campaign, why do you go with Kia? That's only a step up from being the poster child of the Prius.

Griffin is a smarmy one.  I don't mind seeing someone go rugby on his ass every once in awhile.  He dishes it out enough.  What's good for the goose and all that...

Not DPOY. All American. Player of the year in his conference twice. Past four years, McCollum, Muscala, McCollum, Muscala.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
