Blazers are going for a high draft pick

      No, I'm not talking trades.

    There is no excuse at all for the Blazers to be playing awful.  None at all.  It's becoming common sense problems now.  Easy to fix.  So, why aren't they?  Simple.  They don't care about this season.  We shouldn't either, the playoffs are already out the door.  Losing is the current best option for the Blazers, and that is what they are doing.

    I'm not trolling.  Not being a hater.  Not being a smartbutt.  I'm being seriously.  I'm convinced the Blazers don't care anymore and just want a high draft pick.  Supposedly this upcoming draft is as good as the '03 draft that brought the likes of James, Wade, and Melo.

    So, I'll be frustrated with losing.  No one technically likes losing.  But normally I'd be mad as hell right now getting blown out by a struggling team (again), but I'm accepting that the Blazers are simply trashing this season to get a high draft pick.  And that may be the best choice.  Even if this isn't true, and the Blazers are trying, we all know they are simply a one and done in the playoffs.  We don't want that again.  Let's just deal some trades, fix some problems, and then get a high draft pick.  The Blazers have already wasted too many games to get homecourt or actually have a chance in the playoffs.

    I have that feeling too. Of course, they can't go public with that. That being said... why? Even if this is an excellent draft, we all know the Blazers will have the option of picking a future MVP, scoring leader, all-star, or hall of famer but will inevitably pick someone else with one of two possible outcomes:

    1. Said player struggles in Portland, leaves in free agency, and leads a team to either a conference or an NBA title.
    2. Said player must have one or more limbs amputated due to a degenerative chronic disease called Draftedtoblazerseosis.

    We weren't going to get out of the First Round anyway, so why not tank? We desperately need an influx of young talent after Roy & Oden were unable to play due to injuries and the best way to do so is through the draft. Thankfully, this is a great draft. Chin up Blazer fans, just 21 more games....

    Make some trades expiring contracts for 1st round picks and then we will have our lottery pick at the rate we are playing.
