all of our main players clearly don't want to play basketball. aren't the contractually obligated to play? can paul allen just stop paying them? this team is beyond missing a closer and having a bad coach, this team has quit on themselves on their coach and on their fans. I had more fun cheering for this team when we went 24-58 or what ever it was a few years ago because at least they gave effort. I've never seen batum jog slowly up the floor on a fast break and rather than block from behind commit a stupid foul to give them an and 1. speaking of that how many wide open layups did we just hand boston and then toss in a little weak stupid foul? you know, one of the worst fast break teams in the league? im tired of excuses this team just plain sucks. I've been a loyal fan since i was in the 6th grade and i've never said that about my team.

what needs to be done. sit everyone in the starting line up, sit crawford, sit matthews, and let everyone else play all the minutes. at least they only get blown out by 20 not 43. it's called effort. if paul allen can contractually he should not pay lamarcus, batum, camby, wallace, felton, crawford, and mattews another dime because none of them earn their money. ever since all star weekend aldridge has been playing like a fairy, I've been reading all these articles "gerald is the fan favorite" "I never would have been the go to guy if brandon and greg didn't go down" quit feeling sorry for yourself. you want to know why the crowed doesnt chant your name? because 20points and 5rebounds is easy for you. how about you turn on beast mode 40points 17rebounds and 4 blocks. i'll bet you get some respect, but no you'd rather sit there with the rest of these goons and get paid to suck.

pretty pathetic when the 3rd string goes out and MOVES WITHOUT THE BALL creating easy looks at the hoop or wide open jumpers, sure they suck at defense but that's a skill not an attitude of effort problem.

let's dump the starting line up, sign patty mills to back up nolan smith.

i hate to say it, but i agree with you a lot. I love this team, but they are dead out there! I bet if LA went out there and just tore through the double teams and just went absolutely crazy (mod edit; watch language) like 40, 17 and 4.. this team would turn around in a heart beat and be like.. damn, maybe we should help his ass out. Do i think he has it in him some where to that...? maybe. Will it happen before the playoff though..? I really doubt it. Good luck to him and our team, but something needs to change now.

I posted this on another message board but maybe it is worth repeating here.

    Crawford for Beasley

Felton, Mathews, LA for McGee, Blatche, and Wall

I think getting a proven center and a pg of the future would be worth losing LA.

    Thoughts?

Beasley is crap. Why do you think minnesota doesn't want him? McGee is overrated. Sure he can rebound and block but is not a leader, has shown about as skill as we'll ever see from him, and plays very immature basketball - not easily coachable. And LA is 20X the player any of those three are when he is put In a good situation (last year for example). I understand the intention of rebuilding and getting young exciting players but thats not the direction to go unless you want to have the record of the Washington wizards...

trade talks on the trade thread plz :)

...and that trade is a horrible idea, sorry. I'd still rather be the current Blazers than the Wizards in a new franchise.

Most of the time LA does play like a fairy. I would like to see him go in the right trade for wall or irving and a #1 pick.

I thought we were over homophobia in the NW.  C'mon...'playing like a fairy'?  Maybe like a Robin.  I just think that he's not the kinda guy who can be The Man.  Anyway, 'what needs to be done this season' is a calm righting of the ship.  We are dissappointing at this point.  We are not disasterous.  We still have the potential we started with.  Overreacting to the last month of play could be more devastating than anything that's happened thus far.

As kennyc has astutely pointed out in his thread, an IDENTITY must be established...the sooner the better, even if it means an initial step backwards to make two steps forward.  I'm patient as long as there is clear direction.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
