    *UPDATE*
     Portland guard Elliot Williams' MRI on left dislocated shoulder is abnormal. He will undergo further examination and evaluation later this week.

    I come home after work, run some errands for a bit and hop on Twitter to hear the latest trade rumors only to find out my favorite player dislocated his shoulder. Shoulders are always iffy. Sometimes they can take forever to heal it seems like and other times, you can pop it right back in socket and be ready to go in no time. I'm really hoping we see Elliot back on the court during this road trip as I've felt like he's been a big time bright spot this season.

    I wonder who will take his spot in the rotation? Nolan would be my guess but I could also see Nate tightening things up and just distributions Elliot's minutes to Nic, Wesley and Jamal.

    We need energy and excitement from our bench. That's exactly what Elliot brings. I'd just bring him back to Portland and keep him on ice. This is a brutal road trip, and we still have plenty of guys that can win games. No point in finding out how bad Elliot's injured, by throwing him in the mosh pit and telling him to grab rebounds. Let's take it easy with this kid, he's shown us something that none of the other Blazers  are willing to do. Which is dunk first, ask questions later.

    I have a lot of faith in this guy.  His athleticism is at the highest level and he seems like he is very very hungry.  With youth on his side I'm hoping he bounces back quick.

    Does anyone have an ETA on his recovery? I loved watching him out on the court in his limited time this season and have high hopes for both he and Nolan.

    Better a shoulder than another knee.  EW is the only player in my opinion that knows how to finish above the rim on this roster...the only Blazer not reminding me of Kiki Vandeweghe when he throws down.  Williams=hope

    How much does Elliot's injury effect any Blazers decisions before the trade deadline? We can't exactly trade away backcourt pieces and have Williams pick up the slack. It sounded like Williams might be out for awhile.

    I have bee a HUGE proponent of getting a good draft pick this year and there are a lot of good SGs in this draft as well (Lamb, Beal) and although I come from the Best Player Available school of thought, I may have picked a different position because I was so high on Elliot, but he seems to be injury prone. I hope he is able to play before the season is over because we really need an explosive 2 guard and I feel like he can be that guy for us. But if he keeps getting injured, we'll need to draft the best player, regardless of position. We can't stand to make any more mistakes like we did in 05 when we took Webster over Williams and Paul because we had a potential star in Telfair. Again, this doesn't mean I'm off his bandwagon..far from it, but it just means we can't pencil him in as the starting 2 guard for the next 10 years....yet. Get better E-Will! Rip City misses watching you out there.

     I am just wondering if abnormal only means they know something is wrong, but need a second opinion to decifer the depth of the injury? I've had the same injury, and recovered fairly quickly but also remember Nick having the same thing that ended up in surgery. I guess it just depends on the extent of the ligament damage and if the rotater cuff was damaged as to the time it will take to heal. Good luck to Elliot for a swift (hopefully non-surgical) recovery, I really was liking the time he was starting to get on the floor.

    Dustin I was going to ask what abnormal means so your comment did not help much! I hope it means that the injury was abnormal instead of his shoulder period.
