    Via Sports Illustrated-
The Clippers or any other team looking for scoring could also turn their attention to Portland's Jamal Crawford. With the Blazers (18-18) underachieving and the 12-year veteran having struggled to fit in this season, sources say he's available. Crawford signed a two-year, $10 million deal on Dec. 15, but the second season is a player option and he plans to opt out this summer to retest the free agent market.
Crawford wasn't a natural fit from the start, as defensive-minded coach Nate McMillan was said to be wary of whether his new player would buy in on both ends. What's more, McMillan's use of Crawford as the starting point guard over Raymond Felton rather than playing him at his natural off-guard position is causing Crawford some consternation.
The 2009-10 Sixth Man of the Year -- who, for what it's worth, would prefer to finish the season in Portland -- is averaging 14.5 points in just 26.8 minutes per game. But his 40.2 percent shooting is his lowest mark since the 2006-07 campaign. While it's not known whether the Clippers and Blazers have discussed a deal involving Crawford, a source close to him said they showed significant interest when he was a free agent but lacked the flexibility to get a deal done.

So if the Blazers & Clippers do work out a deal for Crawford, I would demand back Eric Bledsoe if I was the Blazers. They have no need for him with CP3 & Mo Williams. He is young (20) and can flat-out shoot the rock. This upcoming draft is not point guard heavy so trade made be a good way to go to acquire that piece.

I would be interested in something like this: Trade Machine

    Portland Trades: Jamal Crawford
Los Angeles Trades: Eric Bledsoe (3 yrs remaining), Bobby Simmons (1 yr), & Brian Cook (1 yr)

Remember, Jamal can leave after this year as he has a player option and Bledsoe's contract is only over a million dollars so we lose very little cap space with this deal.

I agree... And after that article Canzano wrote, something needs to change. Personally I think Crawford has been one of the only sparks for Portland this year.I hope we can keep Aldridge Batum Wallace Williams and Matthews, and probably Przybilla, but anyone out of them is fair game.

right now we are 9th in the standings in the playoff race. while other teams are kicking it up we are losing ground. we either get someone to shake it up or maybe someones or punt and wait for next season. We supposedly got some talent on our bench I would like to see if we do maybe we can get some value out of them.

I am not looking to get rid of Joel since Camby is really starting to show his age. Iknow nothing about Bledsoe but for us to send Crawford to the Clippers Bledsoe better turn out to be the second coming of Jeremy Lin or close to Miller, because I think we are all in agreement that Felton aint cutting it. I think Elliot can handle more playing time and I think he is due sending Crawford away might just force Nate into playing someone who can score.

I dunno man, Crawford is more of a slasher, perimeter threat. I wouldn't put him down on the block.

Why would you get rid of one of the only bright spots on this team. J.C. can flat out score the ball, he just needs to stop playing the point. I say No

I would agree, citing that the Blazers assembled what, barring incredible misfortune, would have been very possibly a dynasty in Roy, LA, and Oden in two years via draft...and more importantly, under Chad Buchanan, the current acting GM.  It can be done, and without a GM, much easier with deep draft than trade.  As I've said...if you want to sell tickets and are without talent and/or success, you MUST have HOPE.  Hope can be had with shrewd and insightful decision making come draft day.

Greg wants a fresh start. Portland wants a fresh start. And thank you, Siccolo, for comparing this to B Roy. Any draft prospect is going to be pretty impressed with what GO can do on the court... even a 75% GO. A kid that has no idea what NBA game...

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
