Looking at all the expiring contracts this summer, I honestly think the blazers should trade them and get something in return rather than just letting them leave for nothing this summer.

This is bold, but I think it is possible to get Rondo without giving up Batum. Keep in mind that Boston is looking to have a lot of money and youth going into the summer. I say, work a deal with Boston where Rondo comes to Portland. Give them matthews, crawford, felton, wallace, e.will, n.smith, babbitt, camby, you name it! Just as long as the Blazers have a solid core of Rondo, Batum, and Aldridge to build around. Honestly, I can't think of a more ideal core to build around that is realistic at this point.

The starting lineup for the remainder of this season would look something like:

Rondo, E.Will? (Boston SG?), Batum, Aldridge, Pryzbilla. This group might not get deep in the playoffs this season, but with a summer where portland has $$$$$$, this would be a good start to set up a deep playoff team next year. And although its a far stretch, having Rondo does make Portland look like a more attractive place to centers (hint, hint) and the Blazers will have all the money in the world to give him.

Truly saying this is not a bad idea. I like it. Let's see what we can get. Playing with current roster does make less and less sense. Names don't play in our team this year.
It looks more and more clear that Wallace does not want to stay in Portland for another year, Matthews has poor season and Felton is just obvious mistake. Clear these options, maybe it will e enough for Rondo?

Wallace, Batum, Camby, Aldridge, and Mathews are strong as it is, but truely we do need a more sufficient PG

If you were a season Celtic ticket holder, would you renew if Ainge pulled the trigger on a deal like this?  I wouldn't.  You can't replace a Rondo (18p, 20a, and 17 rebs last night) without something of real value.

Yeah that would be an awesome trade. Boston would want either Batum or Aldridge in order to give up Rondo. I highly doubt Rondo would even want to come to Portland anyway.

Boston has been so up and down. Just got destroyed by Philly tonight. I think the more Boston looses, the better the chances of getting rondo are. Keep an eye on them.

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
