    The salaries match and Utah has young big guys waiting in the wings.

    Salaries do match but Utah is deep at PG, why would they go for it?

    Value wise, I think it's a no-brainer for Portland. They get their center of the future to play along side Aldridge and it frees up the backcourt for Elliot Williams and Nolan Smith to see the court more often. The only downside is we would lose $7 million off of our cap space this summer by taking on Jefferson.

    Doesn't seem likely Utah would be a willing trade partner, given that we ripped Wes from them in the first place with that front-loaded offer.
