I have a feeling this could be one of the most exciting trade deadlines in recent years with possible trades for players like Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, and other popular players in the league. With recent rumors about a three team trade between the Magic- Lakers- and Raptors I am very excited to see what will happen all across the league by March 15.

But what about Portland? We all know how the deadline went for Portland last year, acquiring Gerald Wallace from Charlotte with only minutes to spare at the deadline. Will any blockbuster moves happen right here in Rip City? I haven't heard any direct rumors, but I have heard many times how Portland could be a very strong suitable trade partner for Rajon Rondo, through our young assets and expiring contracts. I have also heard rumors about trade partners for players like Jose Calderon, Chris Kaman, and others. What have you heard? What do you think Portland will do this deadline? Will they make a move? or will they use this group for the playoff push this year?

You didn't see the one about LA-Portland-Minn?  I would not mind seeing an idle period on trades for awhile.  I like the group we have and would like to build on it.  There have been too many shakeups on our roster for various reasons.  IMO we should bide our time a bit and see the season through with this roster.

Boston's most tradeable piece is Rondo, because he is the youngest of the big 4. The reason Boston would accept a trade would be for young players, expiring contracts, and draft picks, all to save cap room in order to build again after Garnett Pierce and Allen call it quits. As an example, if they could get batum, Felton's expiring contract and maybe even Wallace's expiring contract, they would have a ridiculous amount of cap room for free agency and draft picks in the future.

Rondo would be amazing but I dont think the front office would give up batum and matthews for him. losing more than gaining in all honesty.
Chris Kaman...no thank you. Camby, even being older, is playing better than Kaman right now
LA and Minny trade....no. watch felton do amazing for the lakers. exactly what we dont want!

i agree that rondo is the most tradable piece but also the most valuable in the long term. i would be shocked if they were to let him go.

It really doesn't make sense, but the C's haven't been shy about dangling Rondo out there on numerous occasions.

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
