    Bill Schonely Named Recipient Of Naismith Basketball Hal Of Fame's Curt Godwy Award
    The Gowdy Media Award is named in honor of legendary sports broadcaster and former Hall of Fame Board member and President, the late Curt Gowdy. The prestigious award is presented annually to members of the print and electronic media whose longtime efforts have made a significant contribution to the game of basketball. 
    “I am absolutely stunned. This is something I’ve only dreamed about,” said Schonely. “To be included with the talented individuals who have won this award in the past is an honor I can’t begin to put into words.”

    'Holy backboard', you deserve it Schonz! Look forward to you going 'bingo bango bongo' to the podium and giving your acceptance speech with the same passion when you called all those wonderful Blazer games. You ARE Mr. Trailblazer! RRRIP! CITY!

    I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
