Felton needs to MAN UP Your thoughts?

    I am tired of Felton blaming Nate for his poor performance.  Felton indicating it is hard for him to play for someone who has lost confidence in him.  If that is the case why is he still ont he court missing shots and givign up turnovers?

    Nate has been to patient with Felton, start Batum and PG and get on with life and bench or trade Felton NOW.  Of course with Nate's stuborness this will never happen.

    I for one would love to see Felton traded for a real point guard that isnt a whinny little bitch that cant man up and at least learn from the pro's that he is NOT! All Portland is missing is a real point guard. Look at how many times he has made a drive to the basket and has no court awareness and gives the ball to the other team, so many it makes me think he plays for them not Portland. In my opinion Felton needs to go find a blanket and cry in the corner and let the real basketball players play the game.

    I Think felton needs more time, when he is playing well our team does well. I thought he looked pretty good against the hawks. I think he has had a wake up call seeing Nolan get more minutes and Crawford being given the ball down the stretch. Hope he has enough pride to fight for his position. I also hope he brings the game he had in ny and Denver, if he does we might start moving up in the standings.

    I can't hold back this question anymore. Do the people complaining about Felton's game actually understand the PG position? He actually does a nice job, typically sets up his teammates to score, then they bobble the pass or miss the shot. And suddenly he's to blame because he isn't getting enough assists? Yes he's missing 3's, but so is Wesley. Everyone freaks out when he misses a layup, but he actually makes more of his looks at the rim than Gerald. He tries to push the tempo and the rest of the team is jogging like they're on the beach and keeping about 20 feet behind him. Yes, he has some high turnover numbers, but John Stockton had one of the highest career turnover totals... and I'm pretty sure he wasn't a bad PG, but maybe that's conjecture (it's not conjecture).

    I know everyone wants a Russell Westbrook or a Derrick Rose type to come to Portland. But they would probably struggle a lot more than Felton trying to adjust to a basketball team. Raymond understands his position, and that's something that we can't give up on after half a season, because the alternative means even less wins.

    I agree with your assertion of what a PG should do, but problem is Felton has not been doing it.  His probelm by dribbling too much he causes his own turnovers.  He needs to get the baul downt he court quickly and set up the play and executue.  He tends to dribble it way too much once he gets past 1/2 court.

    Finally Nate cuts the leash and benches Felton.  Only probelm is that he moves Crawford a shooting Guard to the Point.  I would like to see Nolan start and leave Crawford at the SG position.

    I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
