IS PAUL ALLEN ANOTHER AL DAVIS? Your Thoughts?

    The reason we do not have a GM becuase of his constant direct input on the team an no GM will stay.  I would place money on that he is giving Nate direction on how to coach a basketabll team.  Look how long for him to give up control in Seattle and finally land Pete Carroll who calls pretty much all the shots now.

    GM's haven't been given a chance to stay, they have all been fired. However I doubt he is telling Nate how to coach. I believe Paul Allen does like to have a certain amount of say for the GM decisions, which isn't necessarily all bad. Up until Pritchard Allen has let the GM pretty much do their job on their own, although I'm sure his imput was there. The problem with Pritchard and Cho was that they both wanted to blow up the team, and Allen wanted no part of that, not sure I did either at that point but now it looks like he will have to give in.

    Being a life long Raiders fan, Allen is nowhere near as bad as Al Davis was.

    Thank you for clarifying that you are a Raider fan.  You can be objective in all this.

    I am a raider lifer as well, and my friends and i had a long running joke that the year Davis died would mark instantaniously the year we would win our next SuperBowl. While that joke has recently been proven false, there is no such running joke about Allen, nor should there be. His hands are in things more than most owners, but at the same time i think that shows commitment. As long as he doesnt start to float the idea of moving north again i am behind the guy who makes it so that the public doesnt have to fund our team. We are lucky for that.

    Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
