    Maybe the guys on the Blazers bench can use hit sticks, and we let Free Throw Guy go on road trips?

    Camby said it best, they just looked flat after their heart-and-soul instantly was gone two minutes in. This is a fluke loss, but we have to find a way to get the next few without LA. We won in oakland, which we have had issues with as of late but we play again tomorrow. The bench has to step up, and Batum needs to continue to fight like he has of late. I am not sure why everyone here is so down on the team, we are still five games from first in the west. That is just over a weeks worth of games this season, and if you look, none of the wests top teams are perfect. The playoff seeding will be decided by who can continue to stay healthy, while the playoffs will be decided purely by matchups, as i could see any top seed being upset this year due to the overall balance of the confrence.

    Finally, all the close losses are disheartening to us as fans, but they are proof that we are better than our record suggests. No team has been smooth shooting this season, so that final shot to win or lose the game is more uncertain than ever. Portland has fallen victim to this far to much, yes. But as our shots start falling more consistantly we will stop losing these games.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
