What are the things that are working against this particular team?
What are we doing wrong in these close games that Nate can address.
What are some problems that you see and how would you fix them if you were the coach?

We have 3 scoreres, felton (not doing good at it) crawford (taking to many really really bad shot and shooting horrible percentage) and LA, when those players decide to score we forget about nic and matthews, so in conclusion, we have to many scorers, no passers, and  not enough strait up shooters

The problem is we have a team with above-average players, but we don't have a solid team leader.

Aldridge isn't a leader in the locker room, Brandom Roy was. Now that Roy is gone, players are getting lost and don't have guidance. Do we even have a guy on our team with championship experience?

In my opinion, if we get a leader in the locker room, and a solid point guard that plays well, we'll turn this season around (in the right direction).

Like everyone is saying, it comes down to the guards! This is what i see, Raymond Felton is not quite fitting it seems like dont get me wrong he was fantastic in new york and even denver, but some players just cant fit, or maybe carrying the city of portland on his back is stressful on him since portlands fan base is like no other, all i know is crawford needs to stay as a 2 guard! thats what he does and then on a game in the future like the wizards game coming up let nolan play maybe even start see what he can bring! He is a 4 year Duke player he replaced Kyrie Irving and did an amazing job! If i were the blazers and nolan wasnt an option try and get Rondo or Nash, both Celtics and Suns are soon going to be in a rebuilding stage and can use young and new talent! But we will see! Go Blazers!

Blazers half court offense looks more like a 15 second inbound play. I'd start there.

I see guys taking shots while drifting away from the hoop, and guys hiding in the corner waiting, hoping, to hit the hardest 3 point shot to make. Shooting shots while you can visually see the backboard increases the chances of a lucky bounce, as well as increasing your perception of where the bucket is.

Blazers do well when they are attacking from the middle of the court, Blazers struggle when most everything launched is wing and baseline jumpers.
I am a fan of multiple All-Stars on the Blazers roster this season!

    Completely agree with Tobyus!!!

No more jumpshots! Way less 3's, and make them higher % instead of the shots no one guards you on cuz you won't hit it more than 1/3 of the time!

Mike n Mike keep talking about rebounding being such a key, and yes it definitely helps (especially when you're MISSING EVERY SHOT so you need as many as possible), OR... you can tell the guys to go back to the flippin fundamentals of basketball, and take high percentage shots, such as moving towards the hoop... and hope that even if you can't hit the bucket that you can at least draw the foul, because almost no one in the NBA (except Kurt Thomas) plants their feet consistently (especially towards the ends of games! They all want the highlight block if they're playing D)!

Like you said, this Blazer squad has consistently played great together and WON games when their offense is coming from the middle and the inside. Also, each time we've posted high assists, we've yielded good results. Ball movement wins!
If we need outside shooting we've got Jamal, and maybe Batum and EDubs, but the rest of the players including LaMarcus need to realize that driving to the basket and finishing is what wins games, NOT JUMPSHOTS FROM 15'-18' OUT, especially in the 4th quarter.

The players and Nate share EQUAL blame if they truly still believe that the way to come back from a deficit is to shoot 3's from the corners (worst place, agreed) instead of consistently passing and getting your feet in the air before the defender gets his heels in place. We have enough players capable of attacking the hoop (not to mention enough players on our bench that, even in overtime, the rotation should not be a factor) that they should feel confident and comfortable playing a style like the Hawks do, instead of hoping that their outside shooting will always be enough of a threat to take pressure off Lamarcus.
If you want to take pressure off your post player, use any of the half dozen CUTTERS that we have, who also happen to double as (slacking) long range shooters.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
