    Trail Blazers (14-11) v. Rockets (14-11)

This will be the true test of this team Wednesday night. Can they shake off the bad call and handle business against a Rockets team that is neck-and-neck with them for playoff positioning or will they allow that call to defeat them twice? Like Portland, Houston has had their own share of road woes early on this season, racking up an unimpressive 4-8 record away from the Toyota Center. But, in their last contest, they managed to knock off the Nuggets in Denver 99-90. And the Rockets are already up on the Blazers in the season series, 1-0, with their 107-105 overtime win back on January 14.

The entire game rests upon Portland ability or inability to cover Kyle Lowry. The fifth-year point from Villanova single-handily shredded the Blazer D for 33 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds during the first meeting. None of the Trail Blazer guards had any luck staying in front of the lightning quick Lowry, which is why it's going to be interesting to see if Nicolas Batum gets a crack at guarding Lowry. He played Westbrook pretty well in stretches last night and even if Ray Felton is able to go, you know that ankle isn't going to be 100% and trying to keep up with Lowry for 40+ minutes won't be an easy task, even on two healthy ankles.

Along with containing Kyle Lowry, the Trail Blazers need something more from Gerald Wallace than what he brought to the table against the Thunder. For the second consecutive home outing, Crash shot below 50% from the field. Prior to Saturday night's win over Denver, Gerald had shot over 50% in every home game this season. Last night, Wallace went 2-9 from the field for four points in 38 minutes of action. What's even more troubling? Crash didn't attempt a single free throw. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this team goes as Gerald Wallace goes.

An update from Trail Blazers PR: Marcus Camby (bronchitis) and Raymond Felton (left foot) are both probable for tonight's game against the Rockets.

Camby missed practice on Tuesday, but reportedly went through shoot around Wednesday morning. Raymond Felton missed Monday night's loss to the Thunder do to the foot injury.

well at half time it looks like no one cares anymore but felton and maybe aldridge. batum seems to have lost the fire he had for a few games, crash has been absent the last couple. aldride's shot just isn't falling. we still can't run a fast break. sloppy lazy passes. better luck next year guys this season might be over.

We let Scott Foster beat us twice. Plain and simple. We ran out of gas in the fourth quarter because we rallied frantically from 19 down in the third. But if we just would have brought that same energy and effort for a full 48, we would have won. With our road woes, losing two straight at home just hurts...

Also, how does Batum only get 24 minutes? He goes 3-5 for 10 points and had a massive chase-down block. And only 14 shots for LA? I know he made only 5, but our best player needs at least 20 looks at the hoop every game.

This could be why LA only took 14 attempts:
    From Jay Allen-
LaMarcus Aldridge said he was sick tonight. Starting feeling bad this morning. Felt slow, sluggish, & lethargic. Tried to play through it.

If this was a normal season I would be very disappointed at where we at right now but, this isn't a normal season I have to say we are very fortunte to be where we are at we are expecting regular season sucess instead of lockout sucess we had changes in the offseason we lost the heart of our team, we have a new system and we have new teamates to plugin so with all that happening to be at the record that we are at I take it could we play better absolutely but, to think that we should be an elite with the changes that we had is crazy the teams that have the same personnel are the one that are going to be the most sucessful this season but, I wouldn't be suprised if we all of a sudden turn it on in the second half of the season because we are know to be a second half team.

The script of start slow, down by ~5 at the half, go down by 10+ in the 3rd, rally to tie in the 4th, and lose by 5 is starting to get exhausting.  I can almost tell in the first 5 minutes of every game which Blazer team is going to show up.  I think the all-star break will be good for the Blazers and I think there is still a chance for this team to start clicking consistently.

No, this isn't a normal season. However, in the last week and a half, as far as scheduling goes, it has been quite normal, I think only 1 back to back and 1 or 2 days off between games. Think the schedule is bad now, just wait for the next 2 months, 8 game road trip in March and starting now something like 14 of 19 games are aginst teams above .500

Unholy your failing to account for a few things. One Tony Allen has significantly outplayed his 3.3 million a year contract. He will get several MLE offers which starts at 5.15 million. So if you want him it will take at least that much probably m...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
