Was this the best game LaMarcus Aldridge has ever played as a Trail Blazer?
    Yes (4)
     36%
    No (7)
     64%

4:00 PM | Air Canada Centre | Toronto, ON
    Trail Blazers (8-6) @ Raptors (4-11)

The road trip hasn't gone as played for the Trail Blazers, but they can make amends by winning the next two games and going .500 for the first long trip of the season. And it all starts in Canada against a struggling Raptors squad who has lost six in a row and is only 2-4 at the Air Canada Centre. Over that stretch, Toronto has averaged a mere 80 points and never scored more than 91. Needless to say, it's been a big adjustment for the Raptors since losing starting center Andre Bargnani to a strained left calf.

The Trail Blazers haven't been lighting the nets on fire as of late either -- shooting a frigid 39.8% during the three losses on this six-game road trip. But it's not about just making shots, its about the type of shot Portland has been getting of late. Too many times the Blazers are settling for contested two's early in the shot clock instead of dumping it down low to LaMarcus Aldridge, who should create another matchup nightmare for the Raptors when he goes up against 6-9 Amir Johnson and 6-10 Ed Davis. While both of those players have the height to deal with LA, neither players weighs in over 235 lbs, which should allow Aldridge to muscle his way inside. And if there's one team LA loves to feast on, it's the Raptors as he leadled the Trail Blazers with 29.5 points (53.5% FG) to go with 10.0 rebounds in two games against Toronto last season.

To ensure the Trail Blazers win their seventh straight over the Raptors, Portland must do three things: Shoot over 45% from the field, score 15+ fast break points, and take care of the ball by committing no more than 10 turnovers. For as bad as their record looks, the Raps are great at holding opponents to a low shooting percentage (41.2 % -- 3rd best in the NBA), meaning shots won't come easy so the Trail Blazers need excellent ball movement, player movement to find the open man for easy buckets. And push the pace while they're at it! If they can notch over 15 fast-break points it means we are not only getting stops but cleaning up the defensive rebounds which lead to easy buckets. Hopefully that will get our shooters into rhythm. Finally, no more unforced errors. We had the ball down 4 with a little over a minute to go last game in Atlanta and Wes got pick pocketed from behind, leading to an alley-oop. If you run, you still got to keep possession.

Those are my keys to victory, what are yours?

I guess will see how the Blazers respond after the players only meeting as for the game just go in there and play with energy we been sleepwalking in the 1st half of the pass two games just bring energy and effort and everything will fall into place.

    Post-Game Quotes:

    Marcus Camby On LaMarcus Aldridge-
Like I always say he doesn’t get the attention that he deserves because we are all the way up in the Pacific Northwest. His game speaks volumes and tonight just solidified that he is the best power forward in the game. If not, he is definitely in the consideration. I am happy for everything he achieved tonight. I knew that he was close to 20, so I deferred a lot to him especially on the free throw rebounds. I am happy he got it. He is a terrific talent and each year he has been getting better and better.
Aldridge on whether or not he knew the numbers he was putting up-
I really didn’t. I think at halftime I realized when they said I was close to having a 20-20. I was just like it is still early, but in the third quarter when I had 18 and 19 down, I thought this could be a special night.
Nate McMillan on the play of Raymond Felton in the second half-
I thought that it was much better. I thought the really established us defensively, picked up the ball, good pressure on the ball. Offensively he found a rhythm and was knocking down some of his shots. I thought he was much better picking up the ball, working the ball. Offensively in the first half he got us in the tempo we wanted.
    McMillan on Camby's presence-
When Camby is out there and playing well for us it makes a huge difference. He clogs the middle, he rebounds the ball and he makes assists. Both he and LaMarcus (Aldridge) have learned to connect on the offensive end of the floor. He makes a big difference out there, he brings toughness to the floor and I thought a few times tonight when we got a little stagnant he challenged the team to continue to play and play hard.

As great of a night as it was for LA, it wasn't his greatest in the red, black, and white. He missed too many free throws (9-15) and committed too many turnover (6), for this to dethrone either 40+ point performance last year against San Antonio and Chicago. Not to mention he put up 40 against the two best regular season teams last year. Tonight, he simply destroyed an inferior Raptors frontline. Don't get me wrong. His game tonight was butter, but G.O.A.T.? Not quite. I can't wait to see his encore tomorrow night though.

I know LA is the player of the game but, I have to give it to Camby also because the games we didn't have him speaks for itself on how inportant he is and it puts everyone back at their natural rotation hopefully we don't let up and finish this road trip strong.

I''m not talking about those kinda calls, but phantom calls. Kobe gets soooo many phantom calls. I like Lebron, but I know because he''s a superstar he gets certain actions overlooked. Kobe just gets random stuff called. Remember when Kobe smacked...

Oh, sorry Damian, you make so many I stopped reading them. I don''t because I don''t know much about salaries and stuff. Stephenson would be great, excellent rebounder, Tough Defender, is playing awesome in  today''s  game.

Siccolo, did you mean heavier or lighter? I don''t think Noel will do well in the league. If he stays healthy long enough, he might be a half decent starter, if not, Greg Oden.

Damian, you are completely right on that, let''s just hope it''s not a negative impact (Shout out, Ray Ray). And since when did people WANT to come to Portland? This is great.

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

  8. Is Paul Allen more Concerned about Profits then Winning a Championship?

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
