so i keep hearing about a veteran PG and i would tend to agree, no offense to Blake, i love the guy. But the names im hearing kinda bother me. First, im still all for getting Kirk from CHicago, hes talented, young and a decent shooter. I've been hearing names like Kidd and a trade for Nash and with all do respect to those two guys, i don't think id like to see them in portland. I could be wrong, with the young nucleus we have, i think hinrich would fit in better, and as good as Kidd and Nash are, i think that theyre past their prime, more so Kidd. I watched him miss some 3's in the playoffs, kinda brought back memories of outlaw....*shudder*. Either way, i wont be mad if the blazers get those guys, just i don't think that they would fit quite as well, although the there is a temptation to watch Nash drop the ball off to Oden the way he does in Phoenix, and that wouldnt be to bad.
I am a fan of winning a championship and never hearing the words jailblazers or bowie again.

Patrick Mills is actually a very explosive PG who I believe could end up starting in a year or two. Just look at how he plays for Australia and how he played for St Mary's, he is a great shooter and definitely is not afraid to distribute. I'll be praying that we actually sign him and dont miss this opportunity!! (He was projected to go late 1st round and was an absolute steal)
I am a fan of huge potential which will bring us some rings....

speaking of the draft, ive heard a lot of negative comments about this claver kid, so after checking out youtube, i gotta say, i think he has the chance to be really good for us, especially if you want the video where it shows him in the dunk contest

Scotty, you can't possibly think you know more about this Mills kid than the scouts do, do you? There is a reason why he was the PG at St. Mary's and not at some other school. St. Mary's isn't even the best team in the West Coast Conference. I'm not doubting he can play, I'm just saying there is a reason these teams let him slide to Portland. As far as PG's go, I don't really like Heinrich. I think you don't get a true Vet. out of him. He was a young player who came in and was automatically a starter. What we need is a guy who can bring intelligence, and experience to this team. Kirk can't really bring that. Kidd brings the most of that, Nash is a close second but could cost more than the Blazers want to spend. Granted, Kidd isn't what he was in NJ when he took them to the Finals, but he still has experience that he can share with our other PG's. I am not sold that Andre Miller is the guy either because I don't know that his style fits into the Blazers plan of attack.  I think Kidd would fit in fine because he would become THE LEADER out on the floor. The guys would listen to him because of his experience. It would still be Roy's team, but Kidd would be the Floor General. As far as Claver goes, I am pretty excited to see what he looks like in a year or so.

I'm looking forward to possibly seeing Mills and Claver in 2011.   But until then, with Fryes departure I'm liking Bass or Millsap in a Blazer uniform.

Nash would be my first choice at PG, then Kidd and Miller if we don't get one of them. Shawn Marion is who I would love Portland to get for SF not Hedo Turkoglu. Marion can start at the 3 or back up Aldrige at the 4. My dream starting line-up after free-agency would be. PG-Kidd SG-Roy SF-Marion PF-Aldrige C-Oden.

I have to say, I still don't want to see anyone start in front of Martel. I want to see what he has and I want to see Batum get the chance to mature. This was a 54 win team without Martel, with him you are looking at a significant upgrade and I think he may even prove to be better than anyone anticipates. The dude has game and now he has motivation. Watch out for a MAJOR coming out party from this guy and give him the green light to go crazy.

Porter will go #3 to the Cavs unless we get ahead of the Cavs we will not get Porter. Plus Porter is not Durant not even close he is more like Tayshaun Prince with Rudy Gays offensive upside.

First off Damian- Jack will make a lot more than 4 million next year. At minimum he will get a couple MLE offers starting at 5.15 million. Tony Allen will also get many MLE offers so to sign either will take at least 6 million probably closer to 8...

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
