This is a joke to me, first off. These are ESPN's top 8 rankings in the West
    1. Thunder
    2. Mavs
    3. Lakers
    4. Clippers
    5. Grizzlies
    6. Spurs
    7. Nuggets
    8. Blazers
I understand Thunder at #1 and I know people think that is a given. The rest of the picks are more popularity then anything. Clippers up at 4 is a little too high for me and Blazers at 8 is way too low. I can't imagine the Lakers being a top 3 seed with a roster only like 6 players deep. This is what I think..
    1. Thunder
    2.  - 8. any of the rest of these teams. Believe me I think these top 8  choices are correct, but i don't think the order is anywhere near correct. What are your thoughts?

The Mavs and Lakers seem a bit high while the Blazers look to be too low. But really, outside of OKC, the entire Western Conference is a crap shoot.

The Blazers have little fan support from ESPN analysts. The Blazers will have to be West Coast assassins, and quietly take all these twerps out one at a time.

mavs definitely too high, lakers too i think. im wondering why the spurs are so low though, didnt they win 60+ last season? i think they deserve a lil bit more credit. i think the blazers are underrated because they dont pay attention to them at all. its like all they know is we lost b-roy. espn doesnt write many articles anymore, i've noticed they've just been using local articles instead of their own take. so what are they even doing for their opinion to even matter?

The Spurs are 2-0 after just demolishing the Clippers, but will it last? They ran off to one of the league's top marks last year but faltered big time down the stretch. Will the same happen again this year? It looks like it due to the season being so compact. I'd also be a little worried if I was a Grizz fan. They got handled at home against OKC and on the road in San Antonio. Losing Battier will hurt more than most think and the jury is still out if Gay can play well with Gasol/Randolph. If Portland just gets a little more interior depth and hits their jump shots, we could really finish high in the West, because every team has a question mark this year out West.

    THANK YOU!

I bet blazers put a beating on OKC this year, westbrook blowing by miller was their only advantage last year. Batum can defend durrant as good as anyone in the league and we are quicker this year.

not to mention thunder are having chemistry problems cause westbrook's head is huge. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Portland at number 1 this year. I also wouldn't be surprised to see lakers, mavs, and clippers battling for position at the bottom.

Don't leave James Hardin out, he is a potential 6th man candidate.  I agree they are over-rated to an extent.  They are the NBA's golden team thanks to Durant, but they are by no means a bad team.  Thabo is one heck of a defender also

I really hate OKC i mean I'm sooooooo tired of hearing about them, not only is Kevin durant a constant reminder of the blazers draft blunder with Oden,so all my friends rub it in,and then I gotta hear about how great they are from people online and espn,I mean there starting lineup is Westbrook,Sephilocious,Durant,Ibaka, and Perkins. No way that lineup is better then the Blazers. And no way J Harden is Better then Crawford i don't care how thick his beard is,and Batum is better then whoever else they have off then bench,I mean I know durant is a star but i've never been a fan of one dimensional players and thats what he is,he just scores. All he is is George Gervin 2. Score, score and score,no D,no rebounding,no passing and not to mention ugly as hell

I see this season as a beginning of a changing of the guard... No longer is it the Mavs, Spurs, Lakers, Suns dominating up top. Now we are looking at a group of younger quicker better squads emerging in OKC, Portland? (depending on how you look at us), Memphis, and suddenly the LAC. The question is will these older teams have to rebuild or can they just reload? and will the youth on the new challengers pan out to something special? This season will really answer the questions of pecking order for the next few years.

Dont sleep on Harden, and Perkins is one mood swing away from a sanitarium. I still dont thing that they are a deep enough squad to contend with us. Nor do i think that they have the luxury of the plethora of line-ups we can throw at them. I hate the word "if", almost as much as i detest excuses. But.... If we stay healthy, i like our chances against anyone in the league.

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
